A: The dryer always goes on top because it weighs less.
Q: What is the final height of the washer and dry after installed?
A: You didn't give any model numbers for us to give you a measurement for the final height of the stacked washer and dryer, but regardless of which ones you use the LG - Stacking Kit for Most 27" LG Washers and Dryers, Model # KSTK1 with, the final height will be the combined listed heights of the washer and the dryer. The stacking kit does not affect the height at all...^IFV
A: I don't think so. The feet snap into the bars that rest on the top of the washer which are part of the kit. Just so you know, sometimes when my washing machine starts into the spin cycle, it makes a loud clanking noise from the dryer being vibrated. I never had this problem with my stackable kit for my Samsung washer and dryer. The only reason I chose the LG was because the top of my old Samsung washer and dryer was slanted inward. The only way to see the controls on the dryer when is was stacked on top of the washer was to climb a ladder. I didn't want to have to do that anymore, so I chose the LG brand for my next stackable washer and dryer. Had I known about the vibration issues with the LG kit, I never would have bought the LG.
Q: What is the difference between KSTK1 and SSTK1 stacking kits?
A: The SSTK1 is being replaced by the KSTK1, otherwise they are the same, for the 27" laundry units.

A: I would say that the stacking kit would work. I’ve attached a couple photos. It appears to be adjustable.
A: The stacking kit is for stacking a dryer on top of a washer, should not be needed for the pedestal.
