A: It does answer tet messages or tell who's calling.
Q: Is this Bluetooth better than the lg hbs910
A: No, it seems that 910 was probably the best they offered and have only gotten worse with the new line. I tried the Platinum and it sucked too.

Q: What is the function of the stabilizer tips?
A: it makes a better fit around your neck and keeps it from bouncing or shifting while on treadmill, etc. I think it works pretty good for my needs.
A: I'm not sure what you mean by 4 MHz, but these headsets are Bluetooth version 4.1.
A: They do retract flush to the unit however they are not completely enclosed inside the unit. It is a pull to retract, there is no button.
Q: Is this set compatible with Smart TV w/bluetooth?
A: I would assume so - I connect it to my computer all the time, and I would imagine that all the bluetooth devices can connect.
