Q: Does this remote use Bluetooth as well as IR?
A: This remote does not have a bluetooth function.
Q: Work without an adaptor for playstation 3?
A: Yes, you need the adapter.
Q: Does this remote work with DirecTV?
A: Yes. It works with pretty much everything from game consoles to some smartphones.
Q: Does this remote handle a Samsung Bly-Ray / Sound System ?
A: Go to the logitech website for the remote, and it has a place to put in the make and model of anything using a remote to see if its compatible. This database is updated regularly. I have 2 sound systems, one only 4 months old and one pretty old, and they had both. It has almost everything Samsung.
Q: Does it have backlit keys, or is just the little screen the only thing that lights up?
A: Yes, it has backlit keys (in addition to the illuminated touchscreen) ...and, you can adjust the brightness of both.
Q: Will this work with a Roku or Chromecast?
A: It will work with Roku. However, Chromecast does not use a remote. You use the device that you are streaming to the Chromecast from as a remote. For example, if you are streaming Netflix from your phone to Chromecast, your phone will be used as the remote.
Q: Does this remote work with sound bars?
A: Mine does not work with the LG soundbar. It turns on, but I cannot adjust the volume.
Q: Will This remote work with apple TV and a Vizio sound bar?
A: Apple tv yes soundbar probably. They found everything from my 6 year old receiver to my HDMI splitter. I truly believe if it has a remote they have an answer.
