Q: Can the alarm volume be turned up? We can not hear it go off when in a deep sleep.

A: It is stated by the manufacturer to be 100 meters water resistant. I have not tested this for that feature. I can say it holds up well in showers and other basic things where the watch gets wet but is not submerged for periods of time such as swimming or diving.
