A: Yes, it will work with Time Warner Cable. I used this modem to replace the one from them and it works great and I'm saving 8 bucks a month in modem rental fees on my bill.

A: Absolutely. I use it on Comcast internet, connected to a wifi router, and it works great. In fact, it works far better than the rental modems from Comcast, and saves $$.

A: This modem is compatible with Comcast/Xfinity. I use Comcast and the modem works fine attaining very close to maximum speeds in a recent speed check. It is listed on Comcast's list of supported modems so you shouldn't have any problems using it with Comcast.
Q: must the modem remain vertical or can it be laid horizontally?
A: The modem is designed to be vertical with the foot pads on the bottom. However, only one side of the modem is vented to I don't why you couldn't lay it down on the non-vented side.
Q: is it compatible with Windows 8?
A: Absolutely,exactly what O.S. is,with or with out a router.hooked it up both ways.
A: If you wish to connect multiple devices to this modem, then they will need to be hard-wired directly to the unit or networked through a separate router.
A: I don't have Blast, but on the compatibility list, it isn't listed, so I would say no. Here's the link the to the compatibility list, http://mydeviceinfo.comcast.net/. Select your speed tier and it will list all compatible modems.
Q: Will this modem support digital phone?
A: Yes it will. I have one on my current network and it works fine.
