This pair of 2-way radios features an ergonomic design with nonslip ridges that provide a comfortable grip and a headset jack that offers an option for hands-free use. The push-to-talk power boost function allows you to extend the transmission range.
Q: Cruising
A: See my review. They work great on cruise ships. Getting your kids to respond is not easy though.
Q: MS350R - two way radio battery
A: Based on the manufacturer specs, the rechargeable NiMH batteries that were included with the radios should last about 9 hours. If you were to use premium Alkaline batteries (3 AA), then you should be able to get 23 hours. I hope that helps!
A: Yes, these radios can be used with more units.
A: These are UHF like Motorola Solutions has answered but to use any GMRS channels you do need a GMRS license. You can use channels 1-8 that are shared with GMRS on low power without a license.
Q: Does these come with a clip on the back?
A: Yes, a big clip is included. It has a small round ball which is pushed into the radio with a small push button which moves a plastic piece down. Once in, release the push button and the clip is locked in. The belt/vest clip is hard plastic and very cumbersome. We broke all four in two days of use.
A: If you bought 3 sets of these, and set them all to the same channel, all the devices will be able to communicate with each other. When one person speaks, they would be heard on the other 5 devices simultaneously.
