Pretty Good Posted by: from: on Trying this model after problems with 2 Keurigs. After 2 months, works as well as the Keurig in terms of brewing a good cup of coffee. Only complaints are it's slower than a Keurig and the water reservoir is small and slightly awkward to fill.

Beats a Keurig Hands Down Posted by: from: on I went into Best Buy today to purchase a deal of the day single cup Keurig coffee maker. They didn't have it in Stock but that was the lucky part. I purchased this Coffee Maker brand for the same sale price & was ecstatic when I used it the first time. It allows for 2 different cup sizes, a 6 oz cup or my favorite 10 oz cup, without having to remove the spill tray, & has a water well large enough that you don't have to fill each & every time you use it which is marked very obviously so the water well does not get over filled, uses the same Keurig single cups that we are used to using and does have a removable tray to accommodate even a travel mug. This is by far the luckiest purchase I made. It is so superior to the base model Keurig that I may have switched brands for life. Now that I am spoiled by this Coffee maker, the only thing on it I would improve would to make the water well even larger so I could get that many more cups before I needed to refill it. My previous Keurig was ruined when my older brother attempted to use it (believe me, that was a morning disaster) but I honestly believe that even he could use this machine without a stitch of trouble.

Good for occasional use. Posted by: from: on This unit makes coffee, tea, whatever is in the K-Cup. period. It does it well. No frills, or thrills. We have a unit at work which is the next model up which has a larger reservoir, 6, 8, 10 cup choices, and a water pre-warmer. Without pre-warming the water it takes usually 3 minutes for one brew. I've tried two different generic cups to use regular ground coffee but they don't quite fit. The top piercing needle JUST nicks the side of the opening on the top. You can force it and it will work, but you take the chance of damaging the piercing needle if you aren't extremely careful. I've read that you can buy an after market cup receptacle but I haven't looked. I've seen posts about the unit deciding to make 10 or more ounces even when set to 6. I tried duplicating this and succeeded. I have a go cup that doesn't like 16 ounces so I do two 6 ounces. If you do not lift the top piercing cover in-between brews, the next push of the brew button seems to trigger the purge function. If you lift the top section for a couple of seconds in between brews, it works fine. Overall, good solid coffee maker. The only cons (which are surmountable) are the small reservoir (non-removable), no 8 cup selection. LONG 3 minute brewing time.

Works As Well As The More Expensive Ones. Posted by: from: on I bought this for weekdays, when I only need to make one cup of coffee. My work has the Keurig Elite, it is great, but almost double this one. The only real advantage is the tank size. You can get 2 or 3 uses out of the Mr. Coffee before you have to fill the tank. The pull out tray is great too, sometimes I have tall coffee cups, and its nice they fit. Build quality is good too. Every hinge feels solid, and in fact seem stronger than the Keurig counterparts. Takes a bit longer to heat up than a Keurig, but not any amount of time where one would consider it an inconvenience. And last but not least, I can not tell the difference in taste of coffee. I cant see paying extra for the Keurig, unless you need to serve a lot of people and need the bigger tank.

Great coffee maker! Posted by: from: Carrollton, TX on I love this coffee maker - great features and a real deal at the sale price! It has a reservoir so that you don't have to keep filling it up to make another cup. It takes all the usual K-cups and comes with a variety of samples. Highly recommend!

It's got its perks Posted by: from: on works just as well as the Kurig for half the cost. big difference: the Kurig immediately heats up more water even if you do not need it while this one waits until you demand the next cup to heat the water. energy saving there

A very basic one cup coffee maker Posted by: from: on Much slower than the Keurig, but it will work if your only objective is a single cup maker. It will accommodate a reusable pod, which is a big plus. Coffee was nice and hot, and you can fit a travel mug under the dispenser.

Steer clear of this hot mess Posted by: from: NJ on I got this item from Best Buy through a credit card point redemption program so I did not pay for it. I guess you really do get what you pay for. Sometimes when this little wonder works it makes a decent cup of coffee.. Most other times it does not. It seems every other day the exit needle is clogged and i have to let it soak otherwise i get about half a cup of coffee. Another problem with this machine is trying to make 2 cups in a row. The 2nd cup will almost always be 1/4 of the way full. I thought that maybe it was a problem with the exit needle being clogged but after watching the machine operate it never draws in enough water for the second cup. Finally the biggest problem with this coffee brewer is the way the top closes down on the K-Cup. The top pivots into the K-Cup instead of coming straight down. This causes the needle to puncture a hole larger than necessary in the foil, which leads to the brewer not having enough pressure to properly brew the coffee. This leads to.. yup you guessed it.. about half a cup of nasty watery coffee.
