Q: Does it have voice activation recording.
A: Yes it has voice activated recording but the clip on the back breaks easily. If your not going to carry it on you in s pocket it might hold up.
Q: How many hours can I leave the device on? Will it last over a 3 or 4 day period?
A: I have kept the recorder on for more than 10 hours but kept it on its hold setting. On this setting, while concealed, I could easily click it up to begin recording and again click the tiny switch down to stop. Between records it just remains on hold and I assume reserves power. It also records for hours at a time. I don’t know how I ever lived with out this product.
Q: Does it have a built-in speaker for playback or is a headphone required?
A: The VP-10 does have a small speaker for play back.
Q: How do you set up voice activation recording?
A: You just turn the VCVA button to on.
Q: Can this record direct to pc? If not, do you have a recommendation of one that does?
A: No This is not designed for recording directly to a computer. You will need one of our higher end Dictation Recorders such as the DS-2600
A: Yes, however If it does not detect sound for more than 1 Hr it will end the recording and shutdown
