Q: does this have a usb cable and software so you can download it to a computer
A: No this recorder is a stand alone device and cannot connect to a computer. I suggest considering the VN-8100PC. The PC versions of the VN recorders offer the ability to download the recordings.
Q: does recorder include a ac power adaptor for plugging into 120volts outlet, durring recording?
A: Seems to be battery only. No plug with it and don't see a place to plug in one bought separately.
Q: Can I Record a Conversation from my Home Phone - LAN Line
A: You will need to find a third-party device that attaches to the phone and that can be used via the microphone input.
Q: is the recorder computer compatible
A: No it's more of an "Old- Skool" recorder. Although It digitally maintains everything in files and folders. Not USB ready.
Q: Can set the time for the recorder to start recording?
A: Then manual says you can set an hour and minute for starting a recording, or repeat recording at the same time every day. Have never tried it...
Q: Does this recorder time stamp entries?
A: read the spec. it time stamps with a date and time.
Q: how to erase
A: hit the stop button (upper left) then the erase button (lower left).
Q: can your rewind or will it play to the beginning of the recording?
A: Your recording will jump to the beginning of that recording. It does not rewind backwards like a tape recorder.
