They tend to come, Omron, etc with a standard arm cuff only or standard plus x-large & only provide the opportunity to purchase the smaller 6-8" size for $19.99 (or as low as $13-$14 on Amazon). Some brands offer smaller cuffs for as little as $7-8. I tried NET searches for small arm, thin arm, 6-8" arm BP monitors & always landed on smaller cuffs sold w/o the monitor. One might email the various manufacturers & ask if they will sell direct to you a monitor /w 6-8" cuff instead of making you pay extra when you don't need the reg size and/or if they actually sell such a monitor but I didn't find it.

A: I was finally able to secure a "partial" answer regarding my concerns of the two different Omron 3 Series Model number BP710N shown in Best Buy's website ad--one having a grey or silver colored arm cuff versus this same model in the Best Buy ad showing a black arm cuff. I was told by Omron product support representatives that the Omron 3 Series model number BP710N with the grey or silver arm cuff is no longer being manufactured by them and, in addition, the grey or silver arm cuff is designed to accommodate arms with a 7" to 9" circumference. The black arm cuff; however, is made to accommodate arms baring a 9" to 17" circumference. I further inquired of Omron product support if "BOTH" of the arm cuffs have 50 sensors to better monitor heart health as the older models I was told had 10 sensors in the arm cuff and the answer I received was in the affirmative. I have another Omron 3 Series model number BP710N on the way which I purchased from Best Buy and I truly hope that it has the black arm cuff! It is my belief that the product ad needs to be updated.

Accurate and easy to use and reliable!
This blood pressure monitor is so much cheaper than the others I have used in the past. It is easy to use, reliable, its portable, very accurate and I can easily see and save the readings . I compared it with the one in my doctor office and I was told it measured accurate. I and happy it is a little larger than the one I had. It's one of the best monitors I have owned. I am very impressed with this blood pressure monitor and I do highly recommend it.

When being "overly sensitive" is a good thing!
I wanted to submit a detailed product review of this Omron 3 Series model BP710N blood pressure monitor as, according to the medical literature, a very high percentage of people have issues with elevated blood pressure "and" because I have personally had such good experiences with Omron blood pressure monitors for so very many years. My 1st Omron 3 Series Omron BP710_ which I still have is some 7 years old and it only has 10 sensors in the arm cuff I am told by Omron product support specialists; whereas, this newer version of the Omron 3 Series model BP710N has 50 sensors in the arm cuff to better monitor heart health or problematic issues which "may" present themselves. Some of the product reviewers of this model have indicated that they wish this model had the option of introducing an A/C power adapter to save on batteries; however, I have found that when "quality" batteries are used they seem to last a very long time and I measure my blood pressure a lot and, in addition, the portability of this unit is a BIG plus. I am told by Omron product support specialists that one does not have to worry about weak batteries affecting the accuracy of BP readings with Omron BP devices as if the batteries are weak their units will not render BP readings. There is also a battery life indicator on the readout screen. When you purchase an Omron blood pressure monitor you are not just purchasing an electronic device--there are so many product support options by entering Omron's website (i.e., omronhealthcare.com) where you can click onto options such as contact us, product support and solutions, frequently asked questions, product registration, etc. On their website, you can also find ways to phone Omron product support specialists and speak to them live, engage in a CHAT, or Email them and Omron product support specialists will give a prompt response--usually within 24 hours as that is their stated goal! There is also the option of conducting a GOOGLE search for terms like "Omron's advice for taking blood pressure readings." One entry I found is entitled "How To Monitor Blood Pressure--Omron Healthcare." Omron stresses that readings can vary by as much as 20 points so it is important to take blood pressure readings 30+ minutes after eating or drinking, being stress-free, not sitting on cushioned surfaces which can restrict blood flow in one's legs, positioning the arm cuff on the left arm with the cuff's tube centered on the arm so that the tube is on the inside of one's hand one inch above the elbow, refraining from activity for 15 minutes prior to BP readings, plus other advice which Omron offers the users of their devices. It is important to note that according to Omron product support specialists that all of their blood pressure devices render similar Systolic, Diastolic, and pulse readings; however, the more expensive models have more memory capability and some "may" even be able to interact with smart phones. Also, this Omron 3 Series model BP710N has the same arm cuff as the more expensive Omron model BP742N. The arm cuff's "D-Link" feature with Velcro fasteners makes it very easy to position on the arm with your one free hand. This is the second Omron 3 Series model BP742N BP monitor which I purchased recently as I want to have the ability to compare readings of both BP monitors on an ongoing basis. I provided photos of my Omron 3 Series BP710N BP monitor placed inside of a hard case which I purchased separately for it Online at a very low cost. I leave the BP monitor inside of it at all times. An added feature which this Omron 3 Series model BP710N has is "6" different types of ERROR categories which is yet another great "tool" for monitoring one's heart health.

Good so far...
I was surprised to see that the device is only battery-operated. It is too early to say how long the batteries will last. It is not noisy when inflating. Once there was a glitch and it deflated. I am waiting to see if this will be a recurring problem.
