A: Did you leave the AC adapter plugged in all the time. If so I was told by the manufacturer that this actually shortens the life of this product. They recommend you charge it for 24 hours and then unplug the recharging base until all the power is exhausted. Then you repeat the process to extend the life of this product.
Q: Does the red light go out after the opener is fully charged?
A: The light on the 004207-0NP-000 wine opener base is to inform you that it is placed properly on the charger. It does not turn off.
A: Inconsiderate of them to use a standard battery but hard wire it so it “can’t” be replaced…unless you have a Phillips screwdriver and a soldering iron. Q: why does not light on the top after recharged more than 24 hours ?
A: That's a great question! This wine opener has charging led light indicator. This will turn on and flash to let you know that your wine opener needs to be charged.

A: All of our products that are sold in the United States and Canada are manufactured and UL approved for 110-120 voltage. We do not recommend the use of voltage converters or transformers because the discrepancy between voltages will alter the functionality of the products.

If the cork is stuck inside the cordless wine opener, you can try to move the cork back in the opener, then push the button down and you will slowly push the cork inside on the side to make sure it would come out of the bottle opener. Q: Will the Oster open plastic corks easily?
A: I have this model, and it opened a plastic cork with no trouble at all just last night. Just be sure to use the included foil cutter first, and you're good to go!
