Hoping for another 10 years
We bought this dryer after a lot of research to replace our previous LG dryer which had given out after 10 years. We tried to have it fixed but the boards are no longer available for even board repair establishments. We like the design, size, and easy to use features. I like that the steam feature is optional and doesn't need a water line via splitter connected to the dryer. We read those can be problematic down the road. A good rule of thumb too is that if you are going to buy something, do an internet search of the product number and search for forums which may point out any widespread problems you may want/need to be aware of prior to purchasing. So far so good.

Way better than my last dryer!
When our old dryer started squeeling we thought maybe we should fix it. My son installed dryers and other appliances for Sears for a couple years and he said we should just get a new cheap one. He suggested Sears but we were going to Best Buy anyway and stopped to check out what they had. The supervisor who greeted us said he had just purchased one with the steam option and he liked it. We weren't planning on that option but this dryer was on sale so we bought it. The steam seems to work very well and our clothes are dry but not wrinkled even when we forget them in the dryer over night. There are many settings so even my wife is happy with her delicates. I like the one inch ledge at the bottom of the door opening where I can set one edge of the clothes basket when I am removing the clothes instead of dropping them into it on the floor. I know it is a small thing but to me it adds value. We got the steam that you fill from the faucet rather than the one that needs to be hooked up to plumbing as it is much cheaper and very easy to fill as we have a sink next to the dryer.

New Technology
Purchased this over a Whirlpool Dryer because we were told that LG is rated higher. Both my wife and I love large capacity of this dryer and the dryer rack that comes with it. The variance in drying molds and especially the steam figure. We also found that this unit has an Auto On/Off feature that is very convenient. Not to mention the automatic drying sensor which adjusts the time in which it takes to dry each load. This unit is Small in size, but Big in ability. So far we're very pleased with our purchase. Lastly the only reason that I am giving this dryer a 4-Star Rating is because we have only owned it for 3 months.
