Q: What does “tall tub” imply/reference?

A: Hi Living. Thank you for your question. Our tall tub dishwasher fits in the same space as a standard tub model even though its interior is larger top to bottom. The extra room allows it to hold dishes and pots in a wider range of sizes and shapes.

Q: How many gallons of water does this unit use for a normal cleaning? thanks.

A: Hi there, thank you for your question. This unit will use on average, around 3.2gallons. It is Tier 1 energy star and Exceeds ENERGY STAR Requirements for Water by 69%.

Q: Can the wash be interrupted to add something without having to cancel & restart the entire cycle?

A: Yes, just slightly open the door to stop the current cycle. Wait for the water to stop dripping before adding what you need. Then make sure to press the start button to have it continue with the current cycle when the door is closed. If you don't press the start button, it will not continue when the door is closed. Make sure you don't press the on/off button. This would cause the cycle to stop. The start button is on the right and the on/off button is on the left.

Q: Does it or does it not have a HEATED drying cycle? Previously, one answer said yes, and the next answer said no heating element with some ambient temp mumbo jumbo. Specifically, how does it dry the dishes?

A: It has " OpitDry@ " which senses when the unit is low on rinse aid and automatically increases the drying time. They recommend use of a rinse aid to ensure more complete drying. It also has " Extra dry heat " which raises the temperature of the rinse water and increases the drying time to improve drying. Our unit on normal wash with a rinse aid produces very dry dishes. Only water is puddled on cup bottoms, I.e. normal places.

Q: How can you tell when the drying is complete? Is there an indicator light?

A: There is a signal dinging when the wash is complete. You have to open the door and turn the unit off to discontinue the alert. There are no light indicators visible since all controls are on top of the door and not visible when the door is shut. I find this an inconvenience and would prefer to have the controls on the outside and accessible.

Q: Is the bottom of this dishwasher in the inside stainless steel or polypropylene?

A: Hi there, thank you for your question. This dishwasher will have a polypropylene base and stainless steel tub walls.
