A: Yes, it is a nice touch. No need to pry it open. It is minimal, but if you type your wrists may touch it.

A: Yes you can, only at toshiba services because it has smaller sockets according to the conventional laptops. And I have tried, it is not easy to take off the cover.

I have found there are three main things is nearly impossible to upgrade in today's laptops are the processor, RAM memory and built-on display screen. Hard drives are still upgradable from the ones I have recently purchased.
