hours of fun
I'm pretty sure I already reviewed this purchase (somehow using the same member account but a different nickname) but if they're going to give me double the rewards points... here goes. I find the story really interesting and engaging, though the dialogue can be silly at times. Silliness doesn't bother me, but I'm just putting that out there in case it's not your thing. I'm occasionally frustrated during trials where it seems like a particular piece of evidence will show a contradiction in witness testimony just as well as another piece of evidence, but this is forgivable as the general gameplay is enjoyable. The puzzles generally only take a minute or two to solve, so I wish there were more!

A FANTASTIC GAME FOR FANS OF EITHER SERIES
Before playing this game I was completely unfamiliar with the Professor Layton series and how it played. But I figured since this game was on sale at my store at least it will have Phoenix Wright sections in it which I am a fan of. I will say after playing the Layton sections that are find its and puzzles I am easily a fan of Layton games now and will buy any in the future. Not to mention the story which completely shocked and surprised me from beginning to end with some parts being hilarious and other parts being tragic. I am beyond happy I took a chance on this little 3DS gem and if you can get it I highly advise you to. Both series are fantastic puzzle/find it/who done it games in their own respects and this game is certainly no different.

Great game for PL and AA fans
Although this game doesn't offer nearly enough play time or special features as a standalone Professor Layton or Ace Attorney game would offer, I believe PLvsAA does a great job of combining the best of each games into a single collaboration. The game itself does seem more Latyon-esque however, especially in terms of story and overall gameplay.
