I bought this keyboard the other day as an early Christmas gift to myself and im glad i didint choose anything else! I'm big into online gaming such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Dota2, etc. and this makes it so much easier to play. With the thumb keys, you can set ANY key binding, and the macro keys down the side make it incredibly easy to mine, set tanking moves, or just set a list of timed abilities to use one after the other. Granted, going from a normal keyboard to this one poses some threat in the way of a strong learning curve, but its nothing you cant overcome a few hard gamed hours later ;D If anyone out there is looking for a GREAT all around keyboard for gaming, typing, designing or anything in general, BUY THIS KEYBOARD!!!

Great keyboard for MMO gamers.

After my 2 year old son broke my factory keyboard, I decided to purchase a gaming keyboard. After reading countless reviews on logitech and razer boards, I decided to go with this one. This keyboard is simply amazing. It is built very sturdy, and has a great feel to it. The lighting really helps for playing in the dark. The keyboard pairs wonderfully with the Razer Naga gaming mouse. Very satisfied with my purchase! Don't let this keyboad pass you by.

Love the feel!

Bought this on sale for $85 to replace my Logitech Illuminated keyboard and Razer Lycosa. Both of those keyboards are great, but I needed a new one... the Lycosa was getting old, and the Illuminated Keyboard was not great for gaming (buttons are too small and flushed).
I am absolutely loving the feel of the mechanical keys (and the clicks are fun to listen to too), and it's very easy to use. Once you install the driver off Razerzone.com, it's fun to make your own macros for the extra buttons this keyboard provides.
The colors and brightness of the back light is pretty neat too ^_^
I've had this a little less than a week now, so I'll post another review/update should anything change.

Best ever gaming board
Posted by: leftfeettimes2 from: AZ on
I have tried many keyboards both gaming and not. Even have at least one other RAZOR and mouse. I love the lighting, I use a different color for each application it insures at a glance that the right key will do the right thing. Micros are nice I use one to change applications. I love the programmable keys, most games use settings I find hard to cope with. I do each game as best suits me own little digits. Most of all I am totaly in love with the 7 thumb keys below the space bar. They are easy to reach and use by all fingers and are often the only part of the keyboard I use.

Great for Programming, not just Games!
Posted by: LongLiveCHIEF from: Bloomington, IL on
I bought this keyboard primarily for use in programming. The combination of all the macro keys, plus the thumb keys, and the ability to switch profiles, allowed me to create profiles for different languages and frameworks I build in. It definitely helps when writing PHP, since it doesn't have an easy syntax for object access or array assignments. For things like node or WordPress, I have keys assigned to autowrite common functions, and have even used thumb keys to move the "end" button to my thumb, which doesn't sound like much, but is HUGE.
I wish the backlighting wasn't restricted to just the keys and the Razer symbol, I love the keyboards where the whole board under the keys is lit up, but the lighting provided is at least fairly bright, and the ability to customize it per profile is a good visual feedback when hot swapping between profiles.
The keyboard also has a satisfying tactile and audible feedback. Not quite the same as a mechanical, but close enough.

I bought this as I do a lot of tanking in MMOs and need access to my whole bar more easily. It also has the the macro feature which allows some set button combs at the push of one. I would recommend this to any online gamer out there, add the naga mouse to it and you'll have everything you need to own that raid, or arena. the only problem i have is i have larger hands and the spacing could be wider for comfort.

Great gaming keyboard

I originally bought the Black Widow, but it did not have enough macro keys. I've had this one now for more than half a year, and although I love it, I have two changes i wish they would make on it. The lighting is not nearly as bright as compared to my Naga mouse, which is just a small concern for me. The main issue I have is that the extra keys below the spacebar should be placed much further to the left near the WASD keys. Most people use Razer products for MMO's and I wish they took that factor into account.

Nice lower end gaming keyboard
Posted by: love2game from: on
I have had several Logitech gaming keyboards ranging from low to mid range. If you are looking for a nice low price gaming keyboard I would recommend looking into this on. Keys are very responsive, I love the placement of 5 programmable keys just under the space bar. Lets me not move my hand to hit programmable keys so i can keep moving while casting spells or abilities. Even though this says MMO gaming, I have used it also in 1st person shooters. Programing the same keys below the space bar with maro's that I us works great. Software that comes with the board is easy to use and easy to set up your maros's. If your into gaming and want a good solid low cost gaming keyboard that is solid all around, I would recommend this one.

Satisified with purchase
Posted by: Jusmezz from: Lansing, MI on
I've owned this keyboard for about a month now and I am very pleased. The keys are a bit stiff and the backlighting could be brighter, but other than those minor issues it's been great. I've had no software issues or glitches of any kind. Unless you love mechanical keyboards, this seemed to me the best value for MMO gaming.

I purchased this keyboard in late December of 2013. At the time I was using an old Saitek keyboard that had seen its better days. This was decently priced, and I liked the idea of the thumb buttons. I mainly play MMOs so I really was expecting more functionality than I got. The two major things I don't like about the keyboard are that the extra MMO buttons can not be individually programmed. Or atleast they are unsupported with the games I play. They simply replace the shift, alt, and cntrl combinations. I guess this is great if you take the time to set those up...but I am lazy. I wanted easy.
The worst part of this keyboard, it is a membrane keyboard. I should have done my research. They keys are very soft, and often do not respond when I type to fast. I re-enter a password at least 4 times a day because the keys don't pick-up what I am typing. I would research keyboards whose keysets are more responsive, with a crisper reaction before I purchased this.
