    Great show that got me hooked after just one episode. Idris Elba is great in everything he does but even better as this tough all knowing detective. Love detective mysteries!

    One of the best things about Luther is how they let a story unfold as a day in the life kind of a way! EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BBC SHOW IS AMAZING

    Idris Elba is terrific as the main character; subject matter can be pretty dark/bleak at times, but always well written.

    Idris Elbe never disappoints but as John Luther, a British police detective, he's just amazing. He plays a man who is driven by a passion for justice and tormented by his insight into man's darker passions. When you finish watching this short series you will feel like you've been through the wringer, but you'll also know it was well worth the trip.

    This had been floating around my Netflix queue for a long time and I had once tried to start it up and quickly stopped, what a mistake. This series is by far the best procedural cops and robbers show around. The short series BBC model is wonderful, you get really well done stories and each season is more like a mini series then a TV show as we know it. The look of the series is great, better then a lot of movies and the acting, writing, and production values are top notch. A glorious piece of television that all should enjoy.

    Idris is a top notch actor - while only 8 episodes this Season 1 does not disappoint ... dark subject matter but well written.
