After years of admiring Allison Janney in various dramatic roles, including hers on TV series West Wing, who would have thought she would be superb in comedy. Anna Faris, as the show's lead, is very good. Janney brings the whole show, including Faris's role, up to a much higher comedic level.

MOM is one of my favorite comedies! I will definitely be getting all of the seasons.

I always wanted to buy this season and I will buy the rest of the season's.

Glad to see Season 1 of Mom come out. But, where's the Blu-Ray version?? Why are TV studios getting so cheap?? If they didn't sell as many as expected or hoped (case in point: 2 Broke Girls - Season 1), then, don't make as many or make them "made to order"!!! Why downgrade the quality of the disc now?? It really makes them look like complete fools to release a TV series that starts with Blu-Ray and then downgrade the rest of the Seasons to DVD quality. I wonder who the "genius" was who decided to make THAT move (not a very wise one, in my opinion)?? That would be my only regret with this set is that it's not in HD. The show is the perfect mix of comedy and drama with a good storyline to keep you interested.

always loved Anna Faris but Allison Janney just steals the show about a mother daughter, one more dysfunctional than the other. First season is strong. Fully recommend if you're a fan of either of these ladies.

Thankfully it wasn't a struggle to get this show on dvd. Unlike Raising Hope or The Crazy Ones. Special features are alright. But the show itself is well worth the price of purchase. Alison Janney is amazing.

Unconventional and witty, with a lot of heart! Anna Faris is dysfunctionally charming and more likeable than ever, and Alison Janney is comedic gold!
