I bought this tripod (my first) because it was inexpensive and lightweight. I planned on using it for hiking so preferred not to have something too cumbersome. My first you times using it were great. Easy and quick set up. I took it on several hikes and even cave exploring. It fit great into the pocket on the side of my camera backpack and I took it everywhere with me. Got some great shots using it. I also used it on my balcony at home to great success. Flash forward 3 weeks....hiking in the Columbia Gorge photographing waterfalls in the snow. It was about 30 degrees. Spent about 40 minutes outside taking pictures (got some great ones!) I went to pack up the tripod and head back down the trail. I barely touched the crank that raises and lowers the top portion and it snapped in my hands. There is no metal on this part...it's completely plastic and apparently not very high quality. I can see if it was -20 but it was right at the freezing mark. I can still use it by manually pulling and pushing the bar up, but if you are looking to take this tripod anywhere besides the living room go with something a little more durable. It did however allow me to take this awesome long exposure shot.

For a beginner tripod or an extra on the fly, this is a great deal. So far very sturdy and reliable. Using for a compact video recorder and it works well. With its light weight it can also used as a lift stick for the hard to get shots.

The is a lightweight inexpensive portable tripod good for point and shoot and bridge camera use. I will not take a lot of abuse, it is mostly plastic except for the legs which are aluminum. It works well for its intended purpose.

It is easy to use and most importantly its rather sturdy when using a camera or phone. The legs of the tripod can be easily adjusted and it works great . I love the durability and the fact that it is very sturdy while in use. The rubber feet does prevent scratches on the floor and it is lightweight to carry just about any where. The quality is simply amazing and worth the price paid.

This is an excellent, light weight tripod and is so versatile! each leg is individually adjustable and locks securely in place. the levels aid in making sure you're even all around, horizontally and vertically. you can move your camera horizontally and vertically and even stand it on end with this tripod... and it packs up easily and quickly. the only thing that bothers me is the level where your video or camera sits, i can't see it well with my camera attached. another great thing is that the plate your equipment screws to is removable, and an additional plate is included with this tripod... i've been leaving one plate attached to my camera, so when i'm ready i can just snap it in place!

Stable but would like a bit more height. I use at church and need to raise the camera above head high.

I was looking for a tripod for a one time use and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This tripod was on sale for $9.99. It was perfect, my Samsung Galaxy S7 was attached, the tripod was very stable, and allowed me to record my video.

This is a decent stand for the price. It's very lightweight and the legs don't expand very far apart. Which is good if you're tight on space, but also makes it a little top heavy depending on the camera mounted. It's a good stand though and has stood up to a lot of use so far.

This stand meets my quick needs very well. I wanted to do a few long exposures and didn't want to spend that much money on a tripod. This one was stable enough to let me do that and didn't break the bank!

This tripod seems like a good value for the price. I bought it to use with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Works great with it. Articulates in every direction. Even comes with a case for carry.

This is a light contact tripod. It's easy to carry. But it is little too light and you need to make sure he's not gonna fall. Overall I like it.

Good indoor, light duty tripod for the price

Given the price, I wasn't expecting a rock solid, studio quality tripod that will last a decade or two. It is lightweight and easy to handle. I would not recommend it for outdoor use as it would be too easy to damage. There is not an easy way to attach weights to add to stability. Not an issue if used indoors. It meets my needs for my Toastmasters' club video camera. We just needed it to steady the camera to record speeches. The cellphone bracket was a bonus.
