Purchased in December 2014. In Feb, one day the fridge was not cooling. Unplugged and plugged back in it started working. BUT.. the ice maker stopped working and the freezer was cold but ice cream was melting.. Called for service...They replaced the motherboard and the ice maker..Then things got worse...The fridge started making noises non-stop (fan or condenser; not sure which), and the freezer and fridge totally stopped working; Trying to schedule another repair; will see what happens. Hoping to get a replacement or refund; Wife is upset, can't buy anything that needs to be kept in the fridge; At this writing still without a working fridge

Do not buy

Today I had the third Geek service call for a refrigerator bought in January 2015. I see two other reviewers have described the same problem: evaporation coils inside refrigerator part froze over and unit stopped cooling. Very helpful tech defrosted on first service, replaced main board and defrost sensor on second call and ruled project sensor bad and can't be repaired on third visit. Fortunately its under warranty but three times food has been discarded as well as causing the inconvenience of no working refrigerator for weeks. I have submitted a food spoilage form. We'll see...I always read product reviews but haven't submitted them. I now feel more responsibility to help others make wise choices. I wish more people would review products after they have them a year instead of just after installation.

Best fridge for space we had

It's a nice looking refrigerator and not a bad price. Our last one was a GE Hotpoint 35+ years old and it still worked fine, but the shelves were plastic and breaking and we figured it used a lot of electricity and there were no replacement parts made for this any longer. So, we determined for our 1938 house, with very small space for the fridge, this was the best choice.
The problem we had at the beginning was that the tracks of the freezer kept icing up and would not open all the way without a struggle. I finally figured out the solution when I bought some ice cream and it was rock hard at -2 (the recommended temp), but at +8 it was perfect...and (bonus) the tracks no longer iced up!!! The fridge is set to 38 and seems fine. Also, it kept making sounds, but then we realized we had to turn off the ice maker (we don't have this connected - who's too lazy to make their own ice, and I hear they are nothing but problems). So that was our experience. I hope this helps you. I really like the fridge and we have had it about 2 months now.

Good for the size

We didn't have a lot of choice for fridges, this was literally one of only two that would fit our space. It's a beautiful fridge, but yes, it's small. I wish one of the shelves was split so you could put taller items in the main compartment. The only place for a tall item is on the door. It's super quiet though, has a nice door ajar alarm and keeps everything really fresh. No rubbery produce or freezer burn. It works really well in our small kitchen.

I have only had the refrigerator for several weeks, but I was impressed with how spacious it is. I was afraid it would be too small, but the doors provide a great deal of space to store things. So far, I have no complaints.

Great Option for Counter Depth Value French Door

Our space required a counter depth fridge and we wanted to find one that was affordable, offered good storage and had french doors.
This was by far the best value. It's lovely and looks great in our kitchen. It cools well and is very functional. I actually enjoy not having a water/ice dispenser.
The only thing I don't like is how low the second shelf is. We can only fit milk and wine in the doors and not on that shelf, which is annoying.

I am very happy with this Samsung refrigerator. It fits in my small kitchen very nicely. It has excellent capacity for a counter depth model. The only negative for some may be that the plug is on top and so therefore should be considered when making the purchase. The box that contains the plug comes up above an extra 2-3". It didn't cause any problems for me, but just make sure to take note. Beautiful design and keeps everything fresh and the perfect temperature.

Fits the spot

This is the only fridge that I could find that fit the small spot between cabinets which were installed in the 70s. The French Doors and bottom freezer maximizes space and allows more room between the fridge and the built in island. The temp of both freezer and fridge are constant in spite of heavy use. Excellent fridge.

This was the fridge I chose for my new kitchen, so the cabinets were designed to fit around it. After a few months, water started pooling daily in the crisper drawers---not just puddles, but fruit and vegetables were floating! Dealing with Samsung's "authorized repair" providers is a nightmare; phone systems that don't work, nobody speaks English, they make appointments that require you to take time off from work and then don't show up. Save yourself.

Good counter depth refrigerator

We were recommended to try this model by Best Buy/Pacific Kitchen staff due to the space in our new finished basement bar. The unit fits the space perfectly between the front and back bars. The french doors open well and are short enough not to crowd the space between the unit and the rear of the front bar. The controls are simple to use and understand. The refrigerator works great but the freezer has a few minor issues. The freezer has a light film of frost on its internal surfaces all the time. The freezer sliding tray does not move in and out smooth. The stainless surface does show finger prints and is not as easy to clean off as other brands.
