Q: water filter
A: This fridge does NOT have a built-in water filter, nor a place for a cartridge. There is simply a water-inlet tubing protruding from the back of the fridge. Simply connect this to a nearby water pipe with an adapter kit, or preferably to an inline water filter that can also feed a drinking water spout on your kitchen sink. Hope that helps.
Q: How bad is the popping noise?
A: It appears that the loud popping noise is caused by the expansion of the evaporator tubing during the time that the temperature of the fridge is initially stabilizing to the temperature you set, and then most people report the noise goes away or greatly diminishes. There is reportedly a "fix", but I don't know if it is already implemented at the factory as new units are built. The fix is a pad that cushions the compressor tubing & preventing it from "slapping" the inside of the fridge case. Complain louder than the slap and Samsung will eventually warrantee the repair/modification. I am going to ask them to add the kit to MY new fridge before it is even delivered..... It is also VITAL that the entire fridge is very accurately leveled in all 4 directions to keep the "slapping" noise from happening in the first place.... Implement these two tips and the noisy beast should be docile and quiet for you. :)
Q: Does the stainless show smudges and fingerprints?
A: The real stainless steel finish on the RF26HFENDSR is not smudge-proof but can be kept clean using stainless steel cleaner. There are a number of products available that are specifically designed to clean real stainless steel. Simply follow the instructions on the package. Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. This will not only clean the stainless steel, but can help prevent fingerprints from recurring. Thanks for the question! Ms. Samsung
Q: Moisure Forming On The Vertical Hinge
A: Hi Steve, It isn't unusual to have some moisture accumulate between the doors during summer months or in areas with high humidity. This is why Samsung French Door Refrigerators offer the Energy Saver button. When Energy Saver is off (not illuminated), the low-wattage heater inside the vertical strip is on, which should help to evaporate the moisture. If the Energy Saver light is on, the heater is off. Please make sure the Energy Saver light is off so the heated strip can evaporate the moisture. Thanks for the question! Ms. Samsung
Q: Can I turn off the ice maker
A: Yes, its a simply press of a small button.. very easy on and off.
A: if you want to know if the ice maker is off, you open the refrigerator doors and if the light that looks like a cup is on, that means the ice maker is off. If you look real close, there are tiny words inside the lit up glass that say "ice off" that are also lit up. If you are not sure, just push the ice off button and you should notice the light going on or off.
Q: what is the measures (width & height)?
A: 35 3/4 X 35 5/8 X 70 INCHES
Q: is there a samsung french door refridg that is 32" wide?
A: Hi Sus, The standard sizes for Refrigerators are usually 30", 33" and 36", and Samsung has French Door models that fit all of these categories. Examples include the RF26J7500SR, RF18HFENBSR and RF20HFENBSR 33" models; and the RF220NCTASR 30" model. Please keep in mind that whichever model you choose, Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on each side and the top, and 1" behind it, for air circulation and ease of movement. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
