Good TV but..
Posted by: Jeremy from: on
This is a very good tv with an excellent picture, but often times motion on the screen seems to studder and look choppy during fast moving movies/sports. I adjusted the judder settings but it still does it during football. It's hard to explain other than the motion just isn't smooth, and it's really noticeable during instant replay. Older tvs never did this, I just notice it on the super clear HDs. If anyone knows how to fix this better in the settings I'd love to know, I've tried every mode (sports/game, etc) and adjusted the judder to 0 and it's still doing it. These unnatural choppy and sliding motion patterns were my biggest fear in buying a new high resolution tv and this one seems to have them too even when I tweak the settings. I'll gladly sacrifice some picture quality to get a more natural looking screen movement back!

Issues with apps freezing up
Posted by: beccajean315 from: on
This s my first smart TV. Overall, my husband and I love it. We marvel at the clarity of the picture and enjoy the ease of accessing Netflix and Amazon Prime right through the TV (and not through the Wii system). The only problem I've had with the TV is that we've had to "reset" it a number of times by unplugging the TV and plugging it back in. We were experiencing problems with the Amazon prime app freezing up. We finally figured out (because it doesn't say anything about this in the manual), that we have to completely back out of any apps before shutting down the TV. In other words, it's important when you're done watching an Amazon Prime video that you hit the back button on the remote until it asks you if you want to stop playing the video and then again until it asks you if you want to exit the application. Since we have been doing this we haven't experienced any other problems.

Just an Excellent TV
Posted by: bootlegger from: on
Did my research on this model an have not been disappointed.
Setup was as easy as it gets. Remote sync'd and off I went. Btw, great remote!
Picture is stunning! One thing my wife and I noticed is that, film and video look "Live". We each thought it was us, but when I said "Is it me..." Again, Stunning....
Sound has always been an issue with large screens but I have to say, the sound from this unit, though not at a Home Theatre Level, is quite good...very very good. That was a great surprise.
OS and Apps are fantastic. Fast load times (except for the internet) . Then again, I don't use my TV for that.
As an extra, download Samsungs Smart View App. Any video's, movies, pictures etc you have on your computer can be sent to the TV by LAN or WiFi. Seamless...........

This tv has surpassed my expectations by far. Colors are great, smart tv functions very well. Smart remote is amazing it automatically syncs to every device i have, xbox one, cable box, ps4. All apps load extremely fast and the little 4k content i do have via netflix looks great. For the price could not be happier

Best TV i have ever had!!!!!!
Posted by: Masten43 from: on
I bought a 4k ultra HD LED Smart TV. I couldn't have made a better choice. The picture quality is spectacular, better then any TV I have ever had. I have had Vizio and Sharp 1080 LCD's, but hands down the Samsung does no even compare. It makes them feel like they were old box TV's. I love all the settings, the blue tooth capability. Also being able to access the internet or link to my computer and pull music or whatever I would like right up. I am super satisfied with my purchase and since I have gotten it. A few of my friends already want to upgrade their TV's cause the gaming quality and all other aspects of the TV are hands down way better then most TV's that I know of. Plus the bonus I don't have surround sound but when your watch a movie or certain things it sounds like I have surround sound. I can't wait to have everyone come watch the super bowl on it. Thanks bestbuy for all your help and I want to especially thanks Addy, the employee that helped me at the Dover, DE Store. He was great and helped me with everything I needed.

4K UHD LED TV
Posted by: DARKLOTUS2016 from: on
TV sound settings need to be adjusted to "movie" or "music" setting to get nice sound. Con 4K TV flat screen with built in speakers distorted and crackled at level 65 while watching the new and most recent Star Wars movie. If you like playing YouTube music and want to hear the bass. You will need to purchase a sound bar or a home theater system. I purchased a Bose sound bar that sounds really awesome even with deep bass. Never distorts which is a huge plus when your listening YouTube music or watching digital or blue-ray movies. Note: If you change your viewing mode like "sports" or "game" It will affect your sound quality settings so be sure to turn that mode off when not viewing sports or playing games.
The built in WiFi has a strong signal even if your 25 feet away from your modem/router. The stand is strong and stable, but the button head screws are easily damaged when assembling the TV stand. No replacement screws are given in box.

Great TV for the price
Posted by: EdD68 from: on
4K picture is incredible and Samsung does it best. Moved from Vizio to Samsung based on issues I had with multiple Vizio TVs, including power circuit going bad and sound not working. No issues with Samsung TVs so far (4 of them).

It has a great picture but...

This is my first smart tv and it was a pain to set up. It seems to require that you use the Samsung remote to control your cable box. Unfortunately, it's very sleek and has only a few buttons. If you want to enter a 3 digit channel, you must arrow up on the tv screen and click on each number. There are no numbers on the remote. It takes about 12 clicks of the remote just to set the sleep timer. I watch Amazon programming a lot and have been using my smart DVD player or a fire stick. I was looking forward to watching it on my new tv, but Amazon stopped working the second day. The smart hub would not reset so Samsung had to access my tv and reset it for me. This has happened 5 or 6 times now and I can now reset the smart hub myself but every time you reset it, you must re-enter all your passwords for each app and get a code from Amazon online to sign in again. All in all, I expected better from Samsung.

Very nice 4K smart TV
Posted by: JohnD from: on
This was my first 4K smart television. I did not know what to expect, but I went with Samsung because it was a familiar brand to me. I was impressed by how easy the setup was for the t.v. And all of the devices such as the optical sound bar, wireless UVerse cable, Blue Ray DVD player, and all the other external services I'm registered with (Netflix, HBO, Amazon). The only caveat was it connected to my internet router automatically without manual configuration and I couldn't understand how it did it. It worked, but this initially caused infrequent internet disconnects until finally, I manually enter my wireless connection information. Now everything is good. This is a quality television that I would recommend to anyone.

Samsung forces pop up ads on you.
Posted by: breakYODAy from: on
Picture, color, and contrast are average for an edge lit LED panel. I returned this TV when I realized it forced ads on you when you pull up the menu. Samsung confirmed it was not removable from the interface, which was unacceptable for $650 device.
I purchased the Hisense 50H8C instead, which is a better TV, less expensive, and with a 4 year warranty. It also has a full array backlight. I'd recommend looking at that if considering this unit.
