This Samsung 6 Series HT-H6500WM/ZA 1000W 5.1-channel home theater system's built-in Wi-Fi offers access to streaming media. To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable.
Q: Are the rear speakers wireless?
A: The rear speakers have wires that connect to a separate wireless receiver. Although you do not have to run wires from the main unit to each rear speaker, you do have to run the left and right rear speakers to the wireless receiver that you locate in the rear of the room. So, although touted as wireless rear speakers, it is not truly wireless.
Q: Can the rear speakers be wired instead of wireless?
A: Yes, this is possible. You would still connect it as if it were wireless but the receiver would be to the input port. Instead of running the receiver directly to the speakers, run the receiver to the input ports. Then run speaker wire from the output ports to the speakers. So, essentially, it would only be transmitting a few feet because the receiver would be directly behind the BluRay Player. Hopefully this makes sense.
Q: does this have a IN and OUT HDMI on the back of it ?
A: Yes, this model has both in and out HDMI connections.
Q: Are the speakers and sub woofer wireless?
A: Only the rear speakers operate wirelessly. A small receiver is attached to the two rear speakers.
Q: Does this system also do Amazon Prime?
A: Yes, the Smart Blu-Ray does have access to Amazon Instant Video.
Q: Able to hear TV Audio Clearly/Loud?
A: small remote control has a setting for 3 D sound. this allows all attached devices to be surround sound. and is very decent surround sound for money without wires to rear speakers
A: There are left and right inputs provided for external sound, which can be used for any other device such as a cd player, tape recorder, etc. This can be used for a turntable, but be aware that most phono cartridges require special sound equalization. That is why older stereo equipment had a separate "phono" input, which provided the necessary RIAA equalization, and "auxiliary" inputs for everything else. If your turntable is fairly new, it may provide it's own RIAA equalization, selectable as an option. If it doesn't, you will have to provide the necessary sound correction through another component such as a phono pre-amplifier in between your turntable and the unit's inputs to solve for this.
Q: Can the front speakers be hooked up with the speaker wires that I already have run?
A: You will need to use the packaged wires regardless, since they have the connections for the back of the Home Theater unit. But you can connect the wires included to your existing hardware, and as long as your existing wire gauge isn't too big, it should work just fine. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
