A: Tab 4 is entry level has enough power for most about anything with a 10 inch led display. Then the tab pro is a little more power and a higher resolution 10 inch lcd display and software is more oriented for business than play Then the newest of the bunch is the tab S it has a 10.5 inch Amoled Hd display. it's powerful and thinner .software is more for entertainment like movies games.......
A: You only need a phone plan if you want to use the tablet off of a wifi network. For example if you are traveling in a car, you would need to use a 4g network from a carrier like AT&T or Verizon. However, to be clear, you won't need a phone plan but you will need a wireless digital plan which is like a phone plan but without the phone part. In other words, you won't get a phone number assigned to your tablet and you won't be able to make calls on the tablet.

A: Yes, I have the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, previously had the Tab 2 and my wife has the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. All of these have lasted that long. However, it depends on what you are doing. If you watch a movie that has sound through the entire thing it may not last as long as someone who is simply reading a book from the Kindle app.

A: This particular model does not have a built in cell modem. You can always tether to your cellphone, if your plan allows it. The said, i believe I've read that Samsung will soon be releasing models of this device with built-in 3G/LTE capability
