Q: Can samsung s6 edge this wireless charger?
A: Yes it can. That's what I'm using it with. I want to caution that that if you don't have a case or anything, the glass back of the edge is slippery and it will slide off the pad, even on a level surface. I was able to circumvent with a rear screen protector or placing a clear, thin adhesive on the pad itself. Both works.
Q: Do you need to remove the case for a phone holster before placing on charger?
A: I use this with my Galaxy S6 and a Otterbox Defender and it charged the phone without any issues.
A: Works fine on my S7. Will charge through case materials (except metal). At 5w this is not a fast charger. Best for light or overnight use. S7 and S7 Edge can benefit from fast 10w or 15w fast charger for heavy users.
Q: Is this wireless charger compatible with the new S6 Edge?
A: Yes This is what the Samsung site states regarding Compatiblity: Qi-enabled smartphones. Samsung handsets include Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note edge (these require Wireless Charging Battery Covers, sold separately) as well as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5, which do not require additional charging battery covers The first list all require the expensive adapter. The S6's and Note 5 are the only ones that truly work with it.
Q: What kind of special battery cover do you need to buy?
A: Any battery cover that is Qi-compatible will work. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S3,4, or 5 there are official battery covers (and the flip-open case) that you can get that will work with this charger.
Q: does the mini Qi charge the S3 as well and how long does it take to charge a dead battery?
A: It should as long as you can get a receiver for your phone. Wireless chargers do not charge as quickly as cables. You can expect it to take several hours to fully charge a dead phone.
Q: Will it work on my Samsung S5.....
A: No, the Samsung GS5 does not have wireless charging capability on its own. There is an aftermarket product you can buy and stick to your battery that will make your GS5 work with the Qi Wireless chargers.
A: Hi there. This is an interesting one. This does utilize the same Qi technology used for wireless charging as other Samsung device. So, this will work on the S7, yet does not have the fast charging ability of its newer counterparts. I hope this answers your question. Have a wonderful day.
