Q: Will this product work wirelessly for backing up from PC or MAC?
A: It should if you hook it up to your WiFi Router instead of your PC/Mac but it may depend on your personal Router type configuration ability. I read you can set up external drives as a separate "network" if plugged into a WiFi Router (instead of setting up as an additional "drive" on a PC) and use WiFi to save on to it from any device within your WiFi reach (including from your PC/Mac)
Q: Compatible with Windows 10?
A: Yes, this external hard drive will work with Windows 10.
Q: Does this drive have its own power cable?
A: It has a separate power source. You plug the Usb into you computer and the power source into an electrical outlet.
Q: Can you stack the units on top of each other (horizontally) if you have more than one?
A: Yes. Depending on how hard you are using the drives you may not want to do this due to the heat output.
Q: what is the RPM and the cache of this hard drive ?
A: 5900 RPM, 16mb cache. Don't be put off by the 'slow' speed though, with the density of data on these massive platters rotational speed isn't a huge deal anymore. It can easily read enough to saturate the entire bus. The rotational speed used to matter significantly, but that was due to low data density on the platters. Think of it this way, if you have 1 million paper 1 dollar bills all lined up in a long row, you have to run extremely fast to get from one end to the other. Now take 1 million 1 dollar coins, line them up, and you don't need to run anywhere near as fast to reach the end in the same amount of time. Both are 1 million dollars, but the coins are smaller, so require less travel distance for the same amount.
Q: Is it a portable hard drive?
A: You need AC power to use drive. It is small enough to be portable but, again you need an ac power source to use it. Sounds like you need a portable drive there are many available that will meet your needs.
A: Yes it can be used by dragging and dropping if your Operating system supports that, which most do. It is an external drive that connects with a USB cable.
