A: I would disagree and say it does NOT clean grout. It cleans very well on tile BUT, if you have very black or dirty grout, it will not make it white again. I have owned this for ten years and it does amazing on my tile, but it does not clean grout

A: no but it is easy to fill I use a funnel to avoid spilling
Q: Can you add white vinegar to the water?
A: I would not advise using vinegar & H20 in the steam mop itself. It is safer to place the vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the floor as you go w/ the steam mop. This will keep the elements in proper working order and not disturb the mechanism of this mop tself.

Q: Does it clean dirty carpets?
A: Have not used it on carpets and I would not recommend it for that task. It's perfect for hardwood, or other types of none carpet floors. Hope this helps

A: I used this steam mop on my laminate flooring. Though I do not recommend letting it sit on the floor while steaming ( I put a piece of wood or sit it on a stool while steaming while I go refill the water tank) . This is just my precautionary measure for the steam is Scalding hot !
