Previous Sharp Carousel Convection microwave lasted for over 17 years before failure. Upon failing, without hesitation, I marched into best buy and asked for their nices Sharp microwave and was given this. Today, just a big after the 1 year warranty, it is completely dead with no lights.
I am being told, like others that this is non serviceable and to throw it out and buy a new one.
At some point, the quality fell by the wayside and we are left with another substandard product that is built to fail rather than last.

The microwave was great while it lasted but please don't expect to have longevity with it. We bought ours in August 2012 and it unexpectedly died today for no apparent reason. This is our second Sharp microwave. The first lasted 4 years and now this one is shorter than that. I am usually a fan of Sharp products but it may be time to try something else. I am extremely disappointed about this.

Stay away from this product. It quit working after 35 days. BB would not take it back. I would have to send it in to Sharp USA. After 35 minutes on hold I gave up. Next couple tries the same thing. I give up!

I have had Sharp microwaves in the past and wanted another one. Best Buy was the only dealer that had a new model in stainless steel, but none in the store; it was shipped to my home. The clock and timer didn't work. I ordered a replacement to come to the store and I exchanged the broken one for another. After setting up the second microwave, I discovered that the 3 and the 8 keys were not responding.! I called the store and talked to the manager about picking this one up as it weighed over 50 pounds - done! However, they would not issue a credit back on to my debit card that I bought it with; they would only offer a store refund or I could go in to the store and get a cash refund. One would have thought they'd make an exception when a customer had gotten TWO MALFUNCTIONING MICROWAVES. Oh, well.... I went and got my cash back and went to another dealer and bought a slightly older model that works just fine!

Piece of junk, going to return it before 90 days . The plastic is peeling off the numbers in the power and the start button . Doesn't cook popcorn when using the popcorn button

non functioning microwave

First microwave out of the box had a broken turn table inside, and they swapped it at Best Buy for a new turntable. Then the microwave worked for one minute then let out a large popping noise and would not turn on again. Returned to Best Buy and they swapped for a new unit. Brought it home and second microwave after one minute started surging and the interior light started flashing. Called the sharp 800 help # and was given little to no help. Returned to Best Buy for full refund.

Easy to use

I was looking to replace a 15 year old microwave and found out very few new microwaves have a light in them. I bought 3 microwaves before I found this one. I love it. It heats up food very quickly and evenly. It pops microwave popcorn in no time. The cavity is big enough to cook a big dish. The most important thing is it has the light to make sure my food is completely heated and ready to be eaten. I am very happy with my Sharp Carousel.

Not happy with this product

I purchased this product on January 31, 2014 & quit working today, August 5, 2014. It won't heat anything & completely shuts down. Very poor product in my opinion if it can't even last 1 year!!!
