A: You can use this system without monitoring and the alarm will still sound at the base station and any additional sirens purchased.

A: Yes for the flood and temp, not sure about earthquake but they have a wide variety of sensors you can add onto your system.
Q: Does this come with a siren?
A: Chris, all SimpliSafe packages have a Base Station, which is the brain the system. It also has a siren built in. If you need a more powerful siren, or would like to have it in another room, look out for our packages with an extra Wireless Siren.
Q: Can you still receive phone/text/notifications without purchasing the monitoring service
A: Yes as long as you have a cat connection. The system wouldn’t connect wirelessly to home network
