A: No, you do not. BUT...if someone turns that TV on while you are using SlingBox and changes the channel it WILL change what you are watching. So you do not want it on a "shared" TV.
A: Someone has hacked into your box and is using it for their own benefit. You need to password protect your box. If it already is, using a stronger password is recommended. Try using numbers and symbols as well as capital letters. Creating a random password is highly recommended. Just be sure to write it down and keep it in a safe place!
Q: Must I stil need to have/pay a cable tv provider
A: All you need is an Internet connection be it WiFi or a LAN connection. You'll need to pay for that. Some content requires cable carrier to get, but most of them are available on the Internet and can be streamed thru the ROKU as long as the computer and the ROKU are on the same WiFi "channel "(FYI for those with multi channel routers )
A: With the M2, there's an initial 15 second when you first open the (free) app on your mobile device, but then it goes away.
Q: Does it stream through Fire Stick
A: yes, and it is awesome to have the stick, no need to use a phone or tablet/computer, it goes right to the fire stick app.
Q: Can a security camera be plugged in to this (and recorded)?
A: If your camera system has either component/composite outputs then you are able to stream from a camera.
Q: Would this allow me to simultaneously view Sling TV on two televisions in my home?
A: To watch the same program yes. You won't be able to tune in two different shows on the two tvs
Q: Will you be able to watch channels like b.e.t , MTV or lifetime on the sling box?
A: If your tv subscription includes the channel, then yes, you will.
