Q: Are the speakers wired or wireless?
A: A little of both. The front 2 and the sub is a wired connection to the back of the system. The rear 2 speakers have a wireless transmitter. The transmitter needs to be plugged in to an AC outlet and place it under your couch lets say. Then the rear speakers are connected to the transmitter via wires. This allows the rear speakers to be further away from the system and you don't have to run wires all the way across the floor or ceiling from front to back.

Q: 4k playback
A: Hi there! This is a full HD, 1080p Hi-Res Blu-Ray Disc player that can up-scale high definition movies and TV shows to 4K quality via 2 HDMI inputs. It also features 4K pass-through capability. -Anthony
Q: Sound output from cable box - how?
A: Make sure on the television you have it set up to where the sound is going to the external speakers, not the TV speakers. You did this on the setup menu of the television itself using the televisions own remote.
A: Hi, 1 - It's hard to say. Even with the Sony TV I have mine paired with, I have to use the ARC - Audio Return Channel enabled HDMI port to get audio from the smart features of the TV to use surround sound. So if your Samsung has an ARC-enabled 1.4 standard HDMI port, it should work. 2. It does have an FM tuner. I haven't set mine up yet, but hope to get around to that this weekend.

A: To be clear it has 2 inputs and 1 output with ARC. The output would be the dedicated HDMI. It supports ARC so you can have surround even from devices connected to your TV. Make sure your TV has an least one HDMI that has ARC.
