A: I am currently on my third Z9D 65inch in less than 3 months. The first lost half of the screen after a download update four days after the Geek Squad set it up. The second developed a horizontal white line about 2/3 from the top 10 days after it was delivered and set up. So far the 3rd is working great. This has a great picture when it is working. I have now met with several techs who came out and replaced my previous tvs. They had not seen the problems that I experienced. My first was plugged into a surge bar. The second into a battery backup surge protector. The techs thought that the download caused a problem in the first failure. The second was a chip failure. I asked what to replace it with if the third failed and they recommended the LG Oled series.
A: Hi Axeffects, the TV's native refresh rate is 120Hz. -Erin
Q: What should I be looking for in a 4K TV
A: Hi Pharaohmen! If TVs are measured on picture quality, then the Sony Z-series stands alone. Near perfect black levels combine with the ability to reproduce the brightness and color of the real world, while your favorites get upscaled and enhanced to look like 4K HDR. It’s a viewing experience that can’t be replicated. You can check this link for more info: https://docs.sony.com/release//specs/XBR65Z9D_mksp.pdf. -Anthony
A: Sony will not be offering this model in the 55. The 65 is the entry level unit this time around.
Q: Are all 4 HDMI ports HDR or is it just ports 2 and 3. I'm getting conflicting reports. Thanks
A: The manufacturer recommends using ports 2 and 3 when connect HDR devices.
Q: Is this tv edge lit or back lit
A: It's not edge lit so my assumption is that it's backlit!
