Q: Will this phone work if I have a Sprint plan but am not under their extended contract?
A: My phone service is with a company that rents the Sprint lines. So I'm not a direct customer of Sprint. I also am not under any contract. And I don't use prepaid cards. The phone works as expected.

A: If I am not wrong total wireless is a walmart exclusive product and the phone might not work even though they use sprint towers for the service. I know for a fact that Sprint Prepaid - Samsung Galaxy S III 4G No-Contract Cell Phone - White works for sprint and virgin mobile service plan. Also sprint $35 prepaid plan now has unlimited data along with unlimited talk and text.
