A: Hi Sandy. Thanks for your question and for your interest in SunBriteTV products. I understand your concern about pollen. However, although your question is posted under the SunBriteTV dust cover, I think the biggest question here is "What kind of TV are you using outdoors?". If it's a SunBriteTV, then don't worry. Pollen is child's play for our products. All of our models are made to be permanently installed outdoors, and can handle rain, snow, extreme temperatures, insects, dust, dirt, AND pollen. SunBriteTVs do not require a cover, but some people do choose to purchase the optional cover to help keep it clean. The covers are designed specifically for SunBriteTVs and are not waterproof (since the TV's already built to resist rain!). If you have a SunBriteTV and choose not to go with a cover, you can always clean the TV as needed if it becomes "pollenated" (see simple cleaning instructions in product manual). If you are using an indoor TV outdoors, the cover will not be sufficient (and you may have bigger worries than pollen). Indoor TVs are not designed for outdoor use (just check the indoor TV manual for the hazards associated with installing in outdoor conditions). Hope this information is helpful! Happy outdoor living.
Q: Is the cover waterproof? I'm worried about my Sunbrite when it rains.
A: Hi Mikkis, The short answer is, the Dust Cover is made to keep the SunBriteTV screen clean and dust-free. It is not water-resistant or made to keep the TV dry. However, the good news it that the SunBrite TV itself is water-resistant and fully weatherproof. A cover is optional, but not necessary. One of the advantages of a true Outdoor Television is that you can leave it uncovered without the hassle of uncovering and recovering it each time it's used. Don't try that with an indoor TV though! In fact all SunBriteTVs are designed to be permanently installed outdoors. Their powder-coated aluminum exteriors and weatherproof seals protect internal components from rain, snow, dust, insects, and contaminants. Q: will this fit a Samsung 55" curve TV
A: Thank you for your interest in SunBriteTV products. Our dust covers are custom fit to SunBriteTV brand outdoor televisions. Unfortunately, we would not be able to confirm if the cover fits a curved indoor TV. Please note this is a dust cover only - intended to be used with our weatherproof outdoor televisions. It will not protect an indoor television from rain, humidity, heat, cold, or insects. Similar to a grill, SunBrite TVs can withstand the elements and the cover is designed to keep the TV clean when not in use. If you are considering using an indoor TV outdoors, we recommend the superior safety, performance, and durability of a television built specifically for outdoor environments. Check the manual of your indoor TV regarding potential hazards associated with outdoor use.
