Q: How do I hook up and get my Terk antenna to work with my new Element HDTV?
A: Disconnect you cable cord if you have one and behind you tv set all of them have this there is a place that says TV antenna that is where you screw it into then on your clicker hit menu then channel and pick antenna Air , the run and lock in all your channels I don't use the plug in enhancer with the Terk for I found that I got so many more channels with out it .
Q: What is the range of this antenna in miles
A: 50 mile ratios
Q: Does this work on LG smart tv
A: Yes
Q: Do you need a digital converter box with this antenna for an older flat screen tv?
A: I have 2 older flat screen TVs that are not smart TVs. I did not need a converter box & the pictures are better & clearer than they were with my network company, plus alot of channels I never received before. I bought a total of 4 of these antennas & love them.
A: I'm sure it's dependent on where the broadcast tower are in relation to where you have the antenna. There may be more than one broadcast tower you are trying to access and, yes, it is line of sight, too. Use the link here (https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html), even call them and they will tell you which direction to point the antenna. Super nice people, very helpful. Best Buy sell their stuff too. I was going to buy one of the outdoor antennas, but this one seems to be sufficient. My goal is obviously to cut the cord of DirecTv ($150+/month). This antenna, Hulu + Live, Amazon Prime, and Netflix has all my viewing needs covered. I have the same issue with CBS, CW, Fox on one broadcast tower, and NBC/ABC on another. Play with it a little, even just moving the cable from the TV improves my reception. Ideally, an outdoor antenna is the best option.
Q: What is the range? Looking for 60 miles+
A: I could not get more the 28 miles
A: For me, I bought an amp designed for a outdoor antenna, they are stronger
