Amazing album but for the sake of not typing a 20 page review I'll limited it to my favorite tracks. Here goes..... On me: This track gives you that dedicated lyricism you expect from Kendrick Lamar with The Game laying down the hard hitting verses you come to expect. All presented with a very mellow and upbeat background with vocals provided by the lovely Erika Badu sample. Your ears and your subwoofer will thank you. Step Up: Probably my favorite track on this album. The Game respectfully mimics the baritone voice of the late Notorious BIG on the same track that was sampling 2Pac's I get around. If that's not creative enough for you the chorus features a rework of Brandy's breakthrough single I wanna be down (I had a 90's baby meltdown when I heard this one). Next up is Standing on Ferraris: Another track where you'd think The Game was in the studio with Christopher Wallace. Only this time you got none other that Diddy himself vocally lacing the track. Don't Trip: I know The Game (being about the same age I am) flipped out when he got a chance to record a track with NWA's finest. In all honesty I expected more from this song. Not discouraging the album from its well than deserved listen. 100 featuring Drake: The Game is truly my favorite modern day artist. Okay as modern as 2003's original The Documentary, Anyway he is truly the reason I will buy a full length physical media disc in 2016. Primarily because I don't care for the hip hop music of todays generation. To get to the point! Drake is a sometimes on and sometimes off hip hop artist. You never know when he's gonna lay down a track that will destroy Meek Mills career or give you a whiny emo verse to ruin a song like he did on this one. I imported the track into garageband and removed his verse. Thus making 100 without Drake another favorite track of mine on this album. Finally we get to the one song I feel like had the most potential and that's Hashtag featuring Jelly Roll. Hashtag: Has an amazing bass guitar riff! An excellent guest appearance with Jelly Roll delivering that West Coast Lil Jon performance that makes you wanna get out of your seat. So what went wrong? This track fell victim to terrible mixing. As soon as the opening guitar riff ends the track is over! Jelly Roll's contributions where amazing but got a little too overbearing. Possibly change the name and kill the guitar riff a little sooner and you have a radio hit for the summer. The songs all flow together too from track to track taking you on a musical ride. For example Made in America ends with "We all make mistakes look what happened to me and 50". Then Hashtag opens with "Egos! Egos! we broke up like The Beetles." Another example of The Game's creativity. All in all a really good album with a few short comings (I think I wrote 20 pages anyway) worth a purchase though.

Excellent album from start to finish. I purchased Documentary 2 and then Documentary 2.5 a week later when it released. I already own almost all of The Game's CDs, so, I can say with some authority this is by far the best music Game has created to date. A virtual who's who of well known rappers guest on almost every track, which is a bonus that really takes both these albums way over the top from what I'd usually expect from The Game. I mostly definitely would recommend.

Game is an og of hip hop now! Imo he in my top 5 mcs now! Nas,m+m,jz, etc,! This iz ol skool based beats mixed with new flavor! His flow is ill as usual, tight lyrics! He need to cut down on guess appearances but its overall a great record! Game has crossed over from west coast hip hop to universal rap, beats and flow! A genius in his own rite! Game is one of the all time greats,he made his mark and continues to put out great music! Get both cds u wont b disapointed

Game seems to always put together solid albums. While lately seems to be a feature fest like some of his mixtapes the songs come together respectively well. The structure of how he put this together is along the lines of some other west coast artists. Not your standard format but a theme at times along with a change up in strong structure. Its not your usual verse hook verse hook etc. Good album to add from his catalog.

I really like the Documentary 2. Great West Coast rap album! It's probably one of The Game's better music compilations throughout his career. There are a lot of good songs on the album. The CD has a lot of other artists (including well known, lesser known/non-mainstream & local artists) featured on the album which is nice. I would recommend this CD to a friend.
