A: Hi there, The H50 dash cam would be a good choice if you are planning to only record the interior. However, you may want to consider other dash cam models (X150, X500, F750) that have a rear-view camera option if you would like record the front and rear. Depending on how often you drive, you may also want to upgrade the memory card to store more footage before the dash cam overwrites. A: No it does not. I have been using it as a front camera for more than 6 months, did not face any battery drain problem.

A: Hi there, Parking surveillance mode is a built-in feature and can only be enabled when you hardwire your H50 to your car battery with the Thinkware Hardwiring Cable accessory. In parking surveillance mode, the dash cam is always recording but will only save footage once motion/impact is detected to save power consumption and space on the memory card. Do not worry about battery drainage, because Thinkware dash cams have built-in features that will monitor the voltage levels of your car battery and will shut itself off if it detects that the voltage levels are below the customizable voltage setting. A: Hi Eddie, Your dash cam automatically overwrites the microSD card when full, so the dash cam will record as long as it is powered. The amount of footage that can be stored before overwriting will directly depend on the size of the microSD card and the video quality. Here are the approximate amount of the minutes the H50 dash cam can store before overwriting by microSD card: 8GB = 73 minutes, 16GB= 146 minutes, 32GB = 292 minutes. Q: How do you know when the battery is low on charge?
A: The camera is always connected to your car so that's where it gets its power from, you don't need to charge it. It turns on with your car and turns off when your car is off, if your car maintains the charge even when it's off then it will continue recording until you unplug it.
