To Sir, With Love [Blu-ray] [1967]

I fell in love with this film when I was a kid. Sidney Poitier gives an amazing performance. Great story about the important role teachers can play in their students' lives. Even though it's an older film, the subject matter still applies today.

Wonderful movie, one I can watch again and again. You will not be disappointed.

“To Sir With Love,” examines the social & racial bias that exist within the economically underserved communities of London, England, and one man’s struggle to lift up and inspire those young people who reside within those communities to believe that achieving goals which they set for themselves in life, are in-fact achievable. This movie is truly inspiring, and emotionally charged.

I got this movie to watch with my 86-year-old mother who had seen it before many, many years ago. She loves Sidney Poitier...I can see why, as he was wonderful in the lead role. We both enjoyed it very much. It's a feel-good movie about how important teachers can be to their students. A great movie for all generations!

I love old movies like these that rely on acting more than special effects. I especially like the theme song and the end of the movie where Lulu sings. The plot has been done a dozen times over the years but the acting in this movie just makes me feel like it was made for me.
