Not as good as the other four seasons
Love the series overall. Season 5 was good, but not great in my opinion. There was too much focus on story-lines that people don't like/care about and not enough focus on the ones that people do care about. There is such a big departure from the books in season 5, its a pretty far reach for a lot of it..., don't get me wrong. I enjoyed seeing my favorite actors in my favorite show, just the same. I'm hoping season 6 returns to something closer to the books.
Have all the seasons on either DVD or Blu-Ray. While all are worth watching, my favorites are seasons 3 and 4. Season 5 was good, but feels like the some of the story lines are dragging along at different points. Probably the best season finale of all seasons though. If you are new to this series and don't have the time to view the previous seasons, I recommend atleast watching the season summaries on youTube.
This was bought as a gift and was a hit. My daughter is a big fan and loves to collect her favorite TV Series on Blu Ray/DVD. For anyone that has followed True Blood and likes to revisit older episodes this is it. Picture looks great. Overall it was the perfect gift.
