Awesome Monitor!
I was looking for a new IPS monitor with full HD 1920 X 1080 resolution, HDMI, and integrated speakers. After doing a lot of research, I decided to put in an order for the 21.5in Viewsonic VX2270SMH. For some reason the Viewsonic monitors are hard to find in store so I had to take a chance an order it for store pick up without seeing it in person. The order and pick up process was very easy and it was ready to pick up 2 days earlier than expected. I got it home and opened it up. Before even turning it on, I already liked it. The construction is very nice looking with the wedge style and the screen itself is very thin. The base is very sturdy and it has a tilt option for viewing angle. Plus it has a cool little birds logo on the front! I plugged it in and turned it on and it was good to go! As soon as it loaded the screen I was amazed at how good it looked! The picture is crisp and accurate for color replication. It is also easy on the eyes. I hooked it up with the HDMI cable which was included. This was a big plus as many other monitors only provide a VGA cable. It can also be hooked up by DVI, VGA, and has audio input and headphone output. It also has a Kensington lock slot for security if needed. At first the sound did not play, but I installed the extra sound driver from the disc and figured out how to select the right sound playback device and then it was ready to go. It has SRS sound software which is supposed to enhance the sound. Overall it is pretty good for monitor speakers. For the headphones output, I noticed it has a subtle white noise. It is not very noticeable but for complete silence, I plug the headphones directly into the computer output. As some have mentioned, the touch button controls including the power button are hard to get to since they are down low on the base. This makes it a little hard to adjust the settings but once you have it set, it is not a problem. Overall I am very pleased with this monitor and highly recommend it if you are looking for a a nice looking monitor with full HD resolution that does not take up too much space and also has speakers and lots of inputs and outputs.

Great monitor for the price
This monitor offers great color and good resolution. It was easy to set up--basically plug-and-play with my MacBook. It is also the perfect size. I was looking for something smaller as I have limited space. You get incredible features for the price.

ViewSonic does it again!
Viewsonic once again makes a great looking monitor, with an excellent picture, for a low price. I am very pleased with these monitors and have ordered 10 for our office. They also have a built in speaker that is the first monitor speaker to ever impress me. It has great sound and will help de-clutter your desk by not having to keep speakers around. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great monitor or even use it as a TV via the HDMI input.
