Q: Are the satellite speackers wireless also

A: No. The satellite speakers are wired to the subwoofer. The subwoofer must be plugged into an outlet; but, it can be put anywhere in the room and is not physically connected to the soundbar.

Q: How do you connect to entertainment center? (Surround sound system)

A: All of the cables that you need to hook up your TV are included. Surprisingly enough, you have just one cable connection from your TV to the soundbar. An HDMI cable is provided for hook up to provide true HD sound. If your TV has an HDMI jack, use this optical cable. Otherwise, the system includes RCA jacks as well. The instructions provided with the system are very clear and easy to understand. They make cable connection recommendations for Good, Better and Best sounds.

A: Thank you for inquiring about our product. Possibly. It depends on whether or not your DirectTV remote is compatible. Most are. We have two universal codes for our sound bars: 1517 and 31517. Thanks again and have a great day.

A: Yes, you can adjust the center channel level using the menu on the remote. You can also adjust the bass and surround levels.

A: It does have to have line of sight, but the range seems pretty wide. I have mine set up on the other side of a large room and I don't have any issues.

A: True 5.1 ssurround sound is coded to direct the dialogue or speaking frequency sounds to the center channel which is usually placed under the tv screen. Thus the speaking sounds appear to be coming from the main characters on the screen. You may hear some background dialogue through the surrounds if the scene is in a large room or stadium, but the situation you describe is not unusual or an indication of a problem with the device, There will be times when nothing is coming from the surround speakers...this is normal.

Q: Can someone tell me how long the speakers wires. I wanted to understand my option for locating the speakers.

A: they are 144" or 12 feet

A: The sound bar DOES need to be plugged in to 110ac power to work. I just plugged mine into my surge protector that is running the tv, xbox, blu-ray and dvr

Awesome sounding
Simple set up, I own a Vizio TV so once I hooked everything up I figured out my TV remote automatically paired with the sound bar and works perfect. I like the fact that the rear speakers hook up to the sub which gives some flexibility for rear placement. I personally used my own wires that are ran through the attic to hook up rear speakers instead of the ones that came with them. Overall it sounds really good, way better than TV speakers. So far mine sits In front of the TV, im thinking about wall hanging TV and mounting speaker below but not sure yet. I did have to buy some speaker wire to RCA adapters to use my own speaker wire, I'll add a pic of those so you know what I'm talking about. Only place I could find them was Amazon. My local best buy didn't have a clue what I was talking about, one guy even said there's no such thing. I just laughed and walked away. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when sound bar sits idle for awhile, like over night, it somewhat goes into sleep mode and you have to adjust volume up to get it to wake up. Depending on how loud you had it before it wakes up to that level, so for those that have family asleep when you decide to watch TV in the early morning be aware of that. There may be a setting to adjust this, I haven't dove to deep into it yet. So anyway if you want great sound out of a simple product go buy one. You shouldn't be disappointed.

Great sound bar for large living space
I use this sound bar in a large living room in conjunction with a Vizio M-Series TV and a Sony 3D Smart Blu-Ray. I love this set up. For less than $1000 we have movie theater quality picture and sound at home. I'd almost rather watch a movie here than in the theater. This bar connects to BT devices, so we frequently play music through our phones on it. It is sleek, attractive, and easy to set up. The rear speakers connect directly to the subwoofer which must be plugged in but there are NO WIRES that go from the back of the room to the front which I LOVE. One improvement I'd like to see in this product is the ability to balance front and back sound. Because some of our seating is very near the rear speakers, at times the rear sound overpowers the front and I'd like more control over that. If this feature is available on this bar, I just haven't discovered it yet (and haven't tried a whole lot). I'd also like the BT connectivity (pairing) to be simpler. I was able to figure it out in less than 2 minutes without using a manual, but it required more button pushing on the remote than I think it should have. We have iPhone 5 devices that we pair with it. Not a deal breaker by any means, but it could be simpler. The remote is tiny and very simple. It powers on and connects to our TV and BluRay automatically so there is no need to do anything. Just turn on the TV and it comes on. There is a 2-3 second delay sometimes, and I do have to occasionally hit "volume up" to make it "come alive" but I love it still. For the price, this is a great sound system, and I'm really glad I bought it.

Excellent quality and great price
I love this sound bar and surround sound.. the reviews were great on it.. and people were not lying it is amazing sound and the price was even better.. really happy with this purchase.. would recommend 100%.. easy set up right out of the box..
