Pug Henry reminded me of my Father, who was a Navy man during the war. The story is a sequel to the Winds of War. You don’t have to watch Winds to like this miniseries, but it really helps. We see how different members of the Henry family and their friends and relatives survive World War II. Some survive and some don’t. We are also learn about the history of the war and how so many people rose to the occasion and triumphed over their challenges and became better people. It also shows who others sank to the lowest depths possible and enjoyed causing others pain.

This was a big undertaking by everyone involved, took a lot of time, cost a lot of money and probably won't ever be done again. Just because of the rare nature, it should be required viewing. Sadly it won't find its way into parts of the world that need to see it. But if you're reading this, you have the opportunity and you should make the investment whether it's to your video library or just your knowledge base. Either way it's worth the investment in time and money.
