Q: What is the difference between WD30EFRXSP sold here and WD30EFRX sold by other online retailers?
A: No difference. I couldn't find any different info online about a SP version. Anyway, I bought this version online after a price match and the model number on the drive is WD30EFRX.
Q: will wd red 3ttb internal sata nas storage work with my cloud ultra 2x ..
A: Yes, ANY hard drive will work in ANY machine as long as the form factor matches such as the physical size of the drive and the connection (SATA). Drives that are designed for use in a NAS are especially reliable in a NAS solution
Q: What si the speed (RPM) of this hard drive? (Email address all lower caps)
A: WD Red drives all operate at 5400 RPM. They are designed for longevity so they spin slower than drives designed for raw performance.
Q: Do the stores have any WD 3TB Drives in the RED or BLACK versions ?
A: The RED drives are made specifically for Network Attached Storage drives or other applications that need super high reliability (family photo and important document storage!) The BLACK versions are made to be fast but not necessarily longer lasting like the REDs. If you want a faster RED drive they have the RED Enterprise drives that run at 7200 RPM. They get much pricier though.
Q: Is this drive compatible with a Buffalo Link-station Duo NAS?
A: This drive should be compatible with all NAS systems.
