A: this tv (and most westinghouse, emerson, insignia, element, RCA, magnavox DO not have QAM - they say they have a digital tuner but technically they have ATSC/NTSC - these require a cable box that you can purchase from best buy or rent from cable company. Basically these cheaper models do not have the electronic guts you need. I have been purchasing for my hotels and B & B and have learned ALOT: only LG, Samsung, Sony, Vizio all of these have QAM.

A: yes....2 ways > the specs say it has a VGA port, so that will work with almost any pc....and the hdmi ports should also work if your pc has an hdmi output port....
