A: There is a button on the opposite end of the charging port. Push it towards yourself and you will see a red light. Press the other button that is in front of the previous button you pushed. A blue light will begin flashing. Once that light flashes, go to "Settings", then "Bluetooth", and turn the Bluetooth on. Once it is on, it will discover the device as "Zaggfolio". Press "Not Connected" and it should change to "Connected". Go to your "Notes" on your iPad and begin typing. I hope this helps!

A: Yes, very difficult to remove but it fits like a tight glove. My keyboard keeps loosing the bluetooth connection if left idle for any length of time - royal PITA - have to go back into settings and turn off bluetooth and then re-pair the keyboard.

Q: I have an iPad Mimi 2...I haven’t used in a while. I charged the Zagg keyboard yesterday, I have the toggle switch towards me, but when pushing the button in front there isn’t any flashing blue light. I can’t get the keyboard to work? It use to!

Must-have keyboard for iPad
I use my iPad mini as a main productivity device whenever I leave my MacBook home. The Zagg keyboard is backlit for working in low-light situations, has comfortably-sized keys, and lets me type at high speeds as if on a laptop keyboard. My dissatisfaction is with the blue tooth communication that is delayed when powering on, and with the battery life of the keyboard that I have to charge too frequently. Nonetheless, I am pleased with the Zagg’s performance and usability.

Excellent Protection, but iffy-bluetoothing
PRO(s): I love having Zagg products on my i-devices. 1) Zagg Invisibleshields are awesome for screen protection and this unit as a whole offers the same level of protection for the whole device. 2) Initial bluetooth pairing works perfectly with Apple iPad mini. CON(s): 1) Although the bluetooth pairing works perfectly on the initial setup, it has been a bit confusing as to when and how the bluetooth connection is reestablished when the iPad is put to sleep or is powered off and comes back on. At first it seemed the keyboard rarely worked however after further use I am now accustomed to striking a key on the keyboard and finding that it works quite well. So it's hard to say how well this actually works on "wake up". 2) While typing at a 30-40 words per minute speed, the O key rarely works without a hard press. 3) Words-per-minute are limited because of the cramped style of the keyboard 4) The price is a little ridiculous. I only bought the device because of the Zagg name in conjunction with having a Reward Zone certificate for $30 in pocket which brought the price down to around $50 which in my opinion is still too much for this keyboard. If I had to do it all over again I would do some research before purchasing and would never pay even the discounted price for this particular keyboard.
