Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker: Use your computer or Bluetooth 4.0-enabled mobile phone or tablet to monitor your workout progress with this activity tracker that wirelessly syncs with your device and tracks steps taken, distance traveled and calories burned.
Q: Can this be carried in the pocket instead of worn on the belt or pans?
A: I clip mine on my pocket, but keep it on the inside most of the time. Works just fine. Tried it once in my pocket (unclipped) and I'd say it was only 47-64% accurate.
Q: Is it hard to sync it to computer and phone?
A: Not tried with phone yet, but it is very easy to sync with computer
Q: Does it work when I use a treadmill - I have heard that it does not?
A: Yes, it does for running, just as accurately as normal running. For walking sometimes it may miss a few steps, but it is surprisingly accurate.
Q: can it track distances and calories burned while riding a bike?
A: No it cannot track distances you burned cycling. It counts each pedal rotation as a step and calculates the distance and calories burned as if it were a step.
Q: On the screen does it show how many calories you burned or do you have to check your phone?
A: It shows the calories burned. It also shows the time, steps, and distance. You tap the screen to move through the displays.
A: Pin inside a pocket.
Q: How do you reset steps taken?
A: The Fitbit Zip doesn't require you to reset the step count. At midnight I resets to 0 steps, and yet even if you forgot to synchronize it all day, and wait until the next day, your info is still on there. There actually aren't any buttons on this model so nothing to press by accident.
Q: does fitbit work without smart phone?
A: Yes.
