A: Yes, it does come with 5 glass canisters, but the Bartesian unit only holds 4 canisters at a time as the picture shows (you keep the spare cannister stored somewhere convenient). Each canister slot is labeled on the base of the machine in white letters, and the left rear slot is labeled as "GIN/RUM," as it is interchangeable between your Gin canister and Rum canister as the particular drink you are making calls for it. When you load a drink capsule that needs either Gin or Rum, the screen on the top of the Bartesian will prompt you to check and switch that cannister location with that specific alcohol. I don't believe there are any drink recipes (at least that the Bartesian makes) that calls for both Gin and Rum, so you would only need to switch the canister between making two different drinks rather than while making the same one drink. Also, it flushes the internal line when you switch between the Gin and Rum cannisters, so you don't have to worry about cross-mixing. So far I keep the Rum on the Bartesian and the Gin cannister nearby (haven't made a drink yet that uses Gin). By the way, the black caps on each of the canisters is also labeled with the alcohol type so you can identify which is which when they are out of their slots (such as for cleaning, refilling, or moving the machine).
