A: Hi Shopper, This stand is able to accommodate the base/feet of many larger TV's (please check your TV's specifications) as well as the weight. Having the sides past the edges of the stand give it a "pedestal" look which is quite common. As for the 4.5" of overhang, this would be about the maximum we would recommend for esthetics, or the stand may start to look too small. All the best,
A: TV stand intially received was damaged on bottom shelf. Called and was sent another stand. Damage was even worse than the first stand sent. Damage was on the same exact piece of shelving. It was a birthday gift to my sister and it was decided that we keep the first stand and return the second one. The manufacturer is the one responsible for the shipping and seemed to not be concerned to insure that items shipped, are inspected and packed securely to deter damage. Although TV stand is beautiful, I would not recommend buying any products from this particular company. Best Buy gave a 10% discount for the damaged piece. Because it was a bottom shelf, no one can see the damage.

Q: Does it come fully assembled?
A: NO, and I recommend you get a professional to asseble it. This stand weighs approximately 60-80 pounds. It is a beautiful stand once it's assembled.
A: The finish is more black than dark brown. It's a blended color of the two. Depending on the lighting in the room, it can look totally black. Closer inspection of the stand you can see hints of dark brown in the coloring.
