It may be small, like just a tad bigger than a child’s play kitchen appliance complete with freezer and refrigerator but it actually looks and performs quite well. Our Kitchen Aid fridge died after 4 years and not worth fixing. So we got this Insignia mini fridge as a temp solution while we wait for our new LG fridge to be delivered tomorrow. We will continue to use this for overflow items and beverages when entertaining. On the recommended setting (level 4 cooling) the fridge cools to 38 degrees and maintains fairly well if you’re quick to shut the doors after grabbing what you need. It’s not a huge fridge so leaving the door open for any length of time and the cold air escapes quick. Once closed it chills back down pretty quickly. Would be a very good option for: - Dorm room (check amp ratings/restrictions) - Home Office - Small business office Haven’t used the freezer section for much, but some freezer packs and they are definitely solid. The exterior is faux stainless so it can get bumped around a bit without serious scratching or dents. It runs quietly and can barely hear it. Door swing side can be flipped. Out of the box the hinges were on the right side. It does not have an auto defrost mode and wouldn’t expect that for this price. Instructions to defrost manually are pretty simple. Only need to do it when frost builds up which hasn’t for us yet. Comes with a cute little ice cube tray and scraper to remove frost build up if needed.

I got this mini fridge for my room and it's amazing. i can put a good amount of frozen foods in the freezer I'd say ahout 5 personal frozen pizzas can fit up top for an idea of freezer size. The lower section of the fridge keeps very cool and can hold many drinks and miscellaneous stuff. I share a house with roomates and I'm able to keep a majority of my items in this fridge for myself. I also got this last year and it's still doing great! Firdge also doesn't make too much noise compared to a larger one. I keep this in my bedroom and don't have too much issue with noice. As far as a long term owner, 5 out of 5!!

This product is very good quality, very quiet, keeps everything SUPER cold, and is just the right size. We got it to replace our old fridge that was LONG overdue for being replaced because it was so old, no longer working properly, super loud, and especially because it did not have a freezer which just doesn't work for someone who LOVES ice cream. Anyways, we use it in our 2 person office here at work and so for the 2 of us, it works out just perfectly. It's just the right proportion of fridge and freezer space. Did I mention...the freezer space?! It's more than enough space to fit the 4 to 6 pints of ice cream that I like to keep on hand at any given time (which I know...as you can see in the pics I am running terribly low), but if I really wanted to, I could easily fit 9 on top and 9 on bottom (that's without the ice tray) just to put the size into perspective for you. That's 18 pints of ice cream and this is called a mini fridge???!!! Btw, I also LOVE the mini, teeny, tiny ice tray that it comes with!!! Little, teeny, tiny ice cubes! Adorable!!! Point being, it's great and serves its purpose beautifully. We would recommend it 100% to anyone considering purchasing or acquiring one. You'll be glad you did if you do. If you do...enjoy!

Bought this fridge to hold the sodas and beers I would usually be filling just shy of half my kitchen fridge with. It holds all the standard sizes cans I would hope it could, and gets them colder than I often get at bars. Freezer is great for chilling a few mugs or keeping ice in. Gets a mug ice cold within 4 hours. Cold enough that a non-alcoholic drink poured into it will freeze and slurry at the bottom, which is exactly what I look for. My only problem with it is that the shelves are set up in such a fashion as prevents any possible way for more than one shelf to be used to hold bottles of beer or soda, even with one removed entirely. Removing one of the upper shelves, and placing the other at the middle level allows it to hold bottles on top of it, and pint cans can fit just fine below that, but a bottle is half an inch taller and so won't fit. Raise the shelf by one notch, and this merely reverses which shelf can hold which. I still am very happy with my purchase, and since it holds almost a week worth of drinks for a very thirsty man, I'm of a mind to just buy another if I ever feel like I don't have enough bottle space. I've got it filled with sodas and energy drinks this week, so I figured I could make a more family friendly visual example if I post this review today.

This mini Refrigerator was a very good purchase on my part. I’m highly pleased with it so far. The freezer is quite large and so is the refrigerator portion. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is due to the fact that even though you can remove the Glass trays in the refrigerator & place them higher or lower, it’s still hard to fit tall items in it, you need to lay them down or for say milk I need to still lift the top glass up just a little bit to fit the jug under the shelf.. My other issue is the deli drawer is very shallow and small (pic w/ yogurts) not much fits in there, because I only use it for yogurts it’s fine for me. The freezer like I said is very deep. I can fit multiple ice cream‘s, frozen meals or whatever you may want in it. This mini refrigerator does not make any noise whatsoever! I had read other reviews that responded that it would make loud noises or kick on now and again, however I have not heard a peep since I’ve had it. I had 2 others prior to this one and they would constantly run and make noise. This one complete silence you can’t even tell it’s on. Also, everyone mentioned their fridges came dented so I did curbside pickup to prevent that. I had to drive about an hour because my store didn’t have it in stock but it was worth it. Just an option to prevent that. Another feature I liked was that the doors could be switched from one side to the other. When I got it next to my bed the swing was the wrong way but it was a quick fix & now they swing out so it’s easy access for me. All in all I would definitely recommend this product. If I could give it a 4 1/2 star I would. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Although at first I was a little upset because mine arrived dented in a few places (a few small dents, and a couple of big ones), I didn't feel like going through the return process just for a cosmetic purpose, so I followed the instructions to get it running to see if there were any mechanical issues. Within an hour there was already frost building in the freezer (since it was at MAX settings to get it started properly) and it took less than 30 minutes to make ice cubes. So far, at about a 4/5 setting, everything in both freezer and fridge compartments have stayed at a good temperature. My favorite parts is how much I can fit in it for it being a "mini/compact" fridge, and how cold it gets/maintains everything. I decided to keep it, and would definitely buy again/recommend to family and friends!!

After doing *a lot* of research, this little beauty was the very best quality within my set budget, but honestly -- I don't think I could have gotten one better if I had spent more. It's small enough to meet compact space requirements while being roomy enough to fit almost the same amount of food as you could fit in a standard-priced refrigerator. And the separate freezer sure beats taking days to freeze ice in that crap metal compartment you're used to in a compact fridge. The one tiny drawback is that you have to de-ice the freezer occasionally. But it's not very hard to do. Even if it gets a bit built up, it still comes out easily in a relatively short amount of time. It's a small price to pay for having this handy, capable fridge for extra or convenient food storage.

I picked up this Insignia mini fridge from Best Buy for my bedroom, and it’s been awesome. It looks sleek with the stainless steel finish and doesn’t take up much space, but still holds way more than I expected. The separate top freezer is a huge plus — keeps ice cream rock solid and makes ice cubes fast. Runs super quiet, which is perfect since it’s right by my desk. Also love that it’s ENERGY STAR certified, so it’s easier on my electric bill. Great buy for dorms, offices, or just extra drinks and snacks. Highly recommend!

It's sweating like aomeone said it would do. It's holding a lot of items. The freezer is a nice size.

We replaced a shorter/wider 'mini' fridge (with a virtually useless, interior-type freezer compartment) with this item, and are SO glad we did. We use it primarily to hold extra gallons of milk (we can fit 3 on one of the shelves) and extra frozen quick breakfast or dinner items (waffles, pizzas, etc.) to cut down on trips to the grocery store. It also holds plenty of canned beverages, yogurts, and other items. It has a smaller footprint than the previous 'mini' we had, but is somewhat taller - that's a bonus as it takes up some previously unused vertical space vs. filling up more floor space. That actually allowed us to rearrange a bit in our home office, where we have this set up, which was an unexpected plus. The sides as well as the stainless steel on the front take magnets if that's something important to you. This turned out to be an even better value than we expected and we are very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent Mini. Did ship to store pickup hoping I might avoid dent or dings and did :-). Using it as bedroom fridge to distribute the cooling from full size kitchen and man cave units. Great look, strong seal to door close. Cools and freezes nicely. Only minor observation is water drops seemed to freeze up sparsely on back of fridge section during initial cool down. Not causing any problem tho so no star deductions. So many uses feel sure I'll be buying another. On sale, can't beat cooling bang for the buck!

so far, so good. I am very pleased that the unit came without damage in shipping. I almost did not buy due to so many reviews stating damage to unit. It was easy to set up, lots of space inside refridgerator & freezer. It is a great size for our smaller spare bedroom as I wanted a larger unit, esp. a larger freezer section. I am now just plugging in so cannot yet comment on operation. However, so far very pleased.

I have had this unit for several months now. And contrary to other reviews it is not loud at all thank goodness. The unit is very practical and functional. It is a good size for any normal office or game room. The freezer has enough space in it for me too. Stock up on some really good treats.

Bought this for my son’s dorm room and it is the biggest size allowed in the dorm. Both the freezer space and refrigerator section are perfect size for him and his roommate to have cold drinks and frozen snacks. It looks great and was priced right as well.

Keeps food cold and expectations lower. Doesn’t make ice, friends, or noise. A shining stainless monument to my dietary ambition: mostly string cheese and apathy. Honestly, it’s the most stable relationship in my apartment. Fits everything I need and nothing I shouldn’t be eating. Doesn’t judge my midnight cheese habits. If it had arms, I’d thank it with a fist bump and a soft nod.

I love this refrigerator! It's quiet, works great and has more room that I thought it would inside for storage. I got this to keep at work thinking the freezer would be pretty much useless, but it's amazing. Plenty of room to keep lunches for a week. The refrigerator shelves have plenty of options to adjust them to your needs. It's perfect!

I wanted a small refrigerator for a room I'm renting but didn't want a standard dorm size one. This 4.3 cu ft was the perfect size. I can keep most of my food in my room and not have to worry about using the community fridge in the kitchen, or my things coming up missing. It keeps everything nice and cold. Sometimes too cold. Although it has a separate freezer section it doesn't have a separate temperature control for the freezer and will freeze some of the food near the back sometimes.

I have a 400 sqft office and this item was the perfect match. I had originally purchased a smaller 2-3 Cu.ft fridge but it just wasn't cutting it... always tight spacing for co-workers/clients to put anything in there. It's been a little over a month now since I bought the new fridge and I LOVE IT. Very quiet and convenient, and doesn't take up too much space in such a small office.

The fridge part has a lot of room and fits everything very well, i rate the spacing a 8.5/10. The freezer part os perfect, very cold and has a lot of space, i rate the freezer a 10/10. The design of the fridge is also a 10/10. My main problem with the fridge part is that it is not very cold, especially if there is more stuff in there, the emptier the fridge, the colder it gets, but if its full then its not very cold.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our Insignia™ 4.3 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer. We’re thrilled to hear that you find the design and spacing of both the fridge and freezer compartments to your liking!
We appreciate your insight regarding the cooling performance of the fridge section. It’s important to us that our products meet your expectations, and your feedback is invaluable for our continuous improvement efforts.
The cooling efficiency of a refrigerator can indeed be affected by the amount of items inside, as more contents can restrict airflow, which is essential for optimal cooling. To enhance performance, we recommend ensuring that the refrigerator is not overcrowded and allowing some space between items for better air circulation.
If you continue to experience issues with cooling, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for further assistance. We want to ensure you have the best possible experience with our product.
Thank you once again for your valuable feedback!
