Took a chance and it was well worth it! Had a hard time finding the full specifications though, (see attached!) I have a Sony a6300 and needed a good light for both film and photography. I was pleasantly surprised that the included RF Wireless Trigger worked with my model. The build quality is better than the picture suggests; the chassis is mostly made of metal not plastic! The 150W modeling lights are fantastic; they get very bright! Awesome product overall.

This is one of the Best Pro Studio Flash Kits on the market for the president price you can buy, but make sure you go to Best Buy to purchase it at the reduce sale price before they are all gone. You will be very happy with your purchase when you see the results from this kit.

Pros: 2x fan cooled 300ws light heads, proportional modeling lamps, replaceable flash tubes, uses the standard Bowens mount so there are an endless supply of options for inexpensive add-ons and modifiers. Even the included 24x24 softbox is very well built and includes a heavy duty speedring. Umbrellas, light-stands and travel case are well built, and the included wireless flash trigger is just a bonus! Cons: Only one 7" reflector included with set and only one wireless receiver means that additional lights have to be fired using the slave sensors. The proportional modeling lamps are a little difficult to figure out at first as the documentation is limited at best, and repair parts might be hard to find for the "do it yourselfer" as Platinum Pro is Best Buy's name for heads that are mass produced for several different brands. Although, at this price point it may be easier to just buy another set or purchase the replacement warranty. Is this the set for you if you are a professional Photographer that makes a living doing nothing else? Surely not! It's not designed for that kind of duty cycle. However, it will do just fine for the student or serious amateur that works occasionally or is learning the craft!

First make sure you check the contents of the package before you purchase this item, mind was missing one of the reflectors and I had to go back to the store to have them open up another kit and get one out of that kit. The contents sheet inside the package states two reflectors included, but only one was inside. This item has no replacement parts option to order from, so your only option is to make sure all of the contents are inside up front. The Studio Light kit works as described and its a great kit to get started if you want to step your photography level up to using Studio Lighting.

This item was absolutely awesome! I searched around for weeks before I settled on purchasing this. I wanted something on a low budget but still fully capable. In comparison to other camera stores you're getting the equivalent features of a lighting setup double and maybe even triple the price. Both remote and Optical triggering worked flawlessly. The lights have plenty of power for any Studio photoshoot. The combination of the softbox, and the reflector give you options when it comes to lighting your subject at a more than reasonable price. The travel case is awesome it has wheels and it's super convenient if you need to move your equipment to an off-site location. If you do photography and video, the modeling light is not bright enough or an appropriate color temperature for video work. All in all I give it 5 stars because of the astounding value of this kit. If you're just starting out in studio lighting and you're looking for a cheap solution with many options, I highly recommend this kit!

Happen to see these lights while making a separate purchase. Had been looking for an upgrade to my WestCox light box and umbrella but didn't want to spend a mint. While it would be nice to have two remotes and not just one, I happened to have a pair that I used with my other setup which worked just fine. So away with the multitude of batteries that I was using with my flash units and the delay from over heating flash unit batteries. Would have given 5 stars but there was a screw missing from one of the stands.

This is my first studio flash kit and for the price, it includes everything needed for a traditional session. The travel case it's a great addition and sets them apart from the competition because it allows to take it anywhere easy with many compartments and wheels on the base. It's well constructed and protects the gear inside.

This light kit works great in low light. The only issue I ran into was the packaging. There was missing pieces that I ended up having to take from another kit which caused a lot of running around for me to find one that was in stock.

This is a good kit for the beginner portrait or studio photographer. Reasonably priced and comes with everything you need to get started plus it's a platform you can build on.

I purchased these lights as a last resort before a fitness session I was hosting after my Alien Bees went out of commission and I was not disappointed. The only thing I would have liked is if it would have come with two remotes with the single trigger. However, one light does set the other off but if they're too far apart, the remote-less light will not detect the flash from the other strobe. Other than that, great units, softbox produces beautiful light, and I would recommend these in the future.

if you are a pro then forget it. but if you are a beginner then it is a good package to start with. flashes are very bright. this works with most cameras with hot shoe.

I will say, I have taken some awesome shots of my wife with this set up. Photos so good, that I e won a few awards online from the work I've used them with. Powerful bulbs, spot on receiver. Only thing is that it isnt cordless so there wont be any mo file shooting unless you have a power source. Beyond all of that it was a great investment.

Good start up product, flimsy stands but still hold up well enough. Good options with multiple lighting setups. Unable to lower power suitable for indoor shots at times.

Very good for beginners in studio photography, but it lacks a bit to be considered professional.

Would have given this kit a 3.5 rating but it wouldn't let me. First of all this is a great beginner flash kit as it comes with a lot of basics. There are two flashers with stands included but only comes with one softbox, one soft umbrella (white inside), one reflective umbrella (silver inside), and one reflector. If you want a dual set up (two softboxes or two identical flashers) you will have to go with another setup (or buy an extra softbox/different color umbrellas). The wireless setup is very convinent and works perfect with my Nikon DSLR. Carrying case is pretty solid and should be reliable for awhile.

Easy to set up and transport. I ended buying an open box version and it worked out great. Highly recommended set up for someone just getting into studio photography.
